Hi amy I live in the uk trying to get any help support, especially finacially is a real battle. In the Uk their are benefits you can try and claim 1 is called ESA and the other is called PIP. you have to meet a certain crieteria to get them their are forms to fill in and face to face meetings with health professionals its done on a point system eg with pip you could get 2 points for using a wheel chair 8 points for not being able to shower yourself and needing help. you have to get a certain amount of points. then you see whats called an assessor they ask you question based on your answears on he form they than write a report which goes to the DWP thats work pensions they decide whether you get it or not. I claimed for pip on the advice of my gp who backed me all the way and wrote a report for me. I was granted pip. but I havnt tried claiming the ESA as claiming 1 thing was stressful enough. I would find out whether you are able to claim something. its what ever is offered if anything in your country.
Hi amy its my back and legs that I suffer the most with Im in constant pain with them my mobility has worsened. I now have to use a wheel chair I can no longer walk around shops no more. I do all my shopping on line now.I have a walking sick and walking frame that I use. take care gentle hugs
Hi Amy, I can't really tell you anything different than what Kaz. I am in receipt of ESA and as I was given disability living allowance indefinitely, I am yet to transfer to pip. That said I also have other medical conditions that affect my mobility etc.
Sorry I can't be of any further help.
