Atrial fibrillation symptoms?

I have been experiencing light headness and weak legs as well as general unwellness for four months now ever since I had a campylobacter infection. I have had a two week heart monitor which apparently indicates some degree of atrial fibrillation and I have been hospitalized once over night after fainting. I am now waiting for a cardiology appointment but in the meantime time, does anyone know if there is anything I can do or take to alleviate the horrible feelings I have on a daily basis? Some days are better than others but I never feel completely well. Any advice would be much appreciated!

You should see your GP whilst waiting for cardiology appointment if you feel so bad. They might be able to give you some medication to help.

hi, i have tons or arithmias, the best remedy i found is to not be stressed, the days i do relaxing things i like i feel great and have 0 aritmias (i can feel them and count them) but the days i have school tests i feel ■■■■ and i loose count for how many i have

I noticed this thread has been quiet for a while, but I know many people are still looking for answers after a diagnosis. My own experience started with a strange fluttering in my chest that felt like a trapped bird, rather than the racing heart I expected. It was quite scary at first because I never knew when it would happen or how long it would last. For those of you living with it, how did yours first start and what did your GP suggest as the next step? I would be really interested to hear how everyone is managing their symptoms these days.
