Hi. 5 weeks out from 2nd THR. I'm doing pretty well. Doing me exercises and walking. Just on a cane now. Reasonably fit 53 yr old. This leg has been a little trickier as the bone was softened. Bummer.
Any way. I have the usual mid thigh pain while stem is healing in etc.
also have pain in the back of my thigh. I was pretty active the other day so may have overdone it or strained my hamstring. Anyone else had this issue? Any tips appreciated.

Tips. Don’t over do it. Give it a bit of rest but do walk and exercise. Takes months for the bone to grow around the stem.
Best tip is ... Little and often.
Rest, elevate, ice and try NOT to over do things at this stage. Things are still healing and bone is not meshed yet.

My bone down the back of the thigh hurt when I put weight on it, which in turn causes me to limp. It seemed to improve after week eight when I started exercising on my elliptical walker, I do not really feel it now.
