¡Gracias!
Everyone is different. It's best to try on a few to decide what a good fit for you and be sure they have good arches if not add your own.
also I walked in sand after ankle surgery it helped build muscle and restore range of movement.
Have not tried yet, but have best intention to, try support socks/ hose. I am hoping this will help with end of the day swelling. While I do not stand for time like u do, it has been interesting how swollen my foot is by end of day just when sitting at desk. I try to remember to move my ankle in some fashion to minimize stiffness when I stand and take first step. I had to buy a new shoe after I was released to walk because of the swelling. My surgeon liked the heel which, I hope this makes sense, is wider than the shoe. Provides nice stability. Lots of athletic shoes have heels like that. Trying some on is the best you can do. Just remember that "full" recovery may be a year out. Swelling may be pretty typical for awhile. Don't expect more than ur body can give. Plan to kick back, elevate and ice as needed at the end of the day. Be patient with yourself and educate others as needed, especially about that recovery period. Best wishes!
caminar y... gran sugerencia
Hola Laken
saludos cordiales

The surgeon told me to wear shoes with hard soles also for the swelling you should have a compression sleeve it keeps the swelling down. Idk how old you are but it sounds like a big surgery I can't stand on my foot and leg more than a few minutes at a time and it been over 7months, I can walk short distances with a cane.
It really works. I did it and slowly day by day improved ROM dramatically in a few short weeks.
¡Añadiré buenos arcos a mi lista!
Hi,
I am six months post-op with total ankle replacement surgery and an ortho doc recommended HOKA tennis shoes. They come in wide widths and are curved for easier walking. They have really helped me and are balancing and comfortable. I also got orthotics to put in them.
You can get them at the Running Warehouse online or there may be a store near you that sells them.
Hope that helps. Good luck and remember to ice and elevate your feet when you get home and on your breaks.
