I had 1 ovary removed at the end of November 2014 due to several complex ovarian cysts which were all found to be benign.
I havent had a period since but my doctor said not to worry as the body can take time to recover. 2 weeks ago i had light bleeding for about a week followed by a week of normal to heavy period.Getting a bit worried now. Trying to reassure myself that its just because its the first one since my op 
Anyone offer any experience with this?

ive had a cyst and left tube removed and had funny bleeding for a while after. My consultant said it was just where she'd rooted around.

I had a similar operation in 2013, i also lost one ovary and Fallopian tube and part of my other one, I bled constantly for 2 weeks and it took 6 months for my periods to settle back into a regular routine, keep talking with your gp as there are lots of things they can do if it doesn't settle down itself, you do however need to give things time for your hormone levels to regulate!

Went to the doctors yesterday and he said give it another day or 2 to ease off then take the tablets he has given me to stop the bleeding. Never taken anything along these lines before so hopefully they will work.
Startig a new job in 10 days so really need this sorting by then!
