Bleeding with horrible stomach pain

Just want to know if it is normal to have abnormal color of bleeding during peri.  I feel sick to my stomach and not very hungry.  My stomach feels like there is a bowling ball in there and just not feeling well.  I'm most concerned about the color, is this normal?  I am 51 years old.

What color is it?  To ease your mind you may want to go to ER and have them check to make sure the bleeding is actually coming from the uterus, I had to do that with I had the post meno flooding period.

It's brown. Thank you for your response.

Oh okay, I think we all have had that I call it old blood lol

I remember going through a period (no pun intended) like that. It's miserable isn't it, but it is ' normal' for many of us.

If you are really worried go to your doctor and ask to be refered and checked out.

I had my last proper period two years ago, but still have some kind of deranged cycle going on. Occasionally I get a 'show' accompanied by a cluster of 'teenage' spots on my chin - very fetching!😉

I too had bad stomach. Feeling very bloated, hard, had cramps or more like muscle tightening. Very very odd. I then had very hard sticky light brown discharge. I missed a period for a month. Then this felt very odd and worried. I also noticed that although I didn't have period I had very tiny browmish substance coming out. So I guess this is peri and just accepted it.

Thank you so much for getting back to me.  I'm feeling better knowing that others have experienced the same thing.  I guess Alieve will be my new BFF until I can move past this.  I appreciate everyone's comments.  Make it a great day!

Hi, yes this is normal, i even get it now but i did get mine checked out by a gyneacologist, all came back fine.

Absolutely period color changes are due to hormones.

I too had some "brown" cycles.  Your age indicates you're probably getting close to being done with periods.

Oh please, say it is so!!  I've been reading all these posts and thinking I will never make it if this goes on for years!  Yikes!  I appreciate your post.
