Bloating and medication

Hi, 

I bloat really easily- even with fluids and food. By the end of the day I look 9 months pregnant. So I spoke to my GP about this last week and he has prescribed me lansoprazole for

Bloating ... has anyone else tried this? 

I have found since I have been taking it my appttie has reduced is this a known side effect??

Lansaprazole can cause change of appetite and sometimes PPIs can cause bloating.  They are generally prescribed to ease acid reflux.  I would go back to your doctor and ask for a different PPI or a lower dose of Lansaprazole since your appetite is affected.
