Oído bloqueado, tinnitus y mareos

He estado teniendo infecciones de oído bastante regulares. No tengo pérdida auditiva notable. El tinnitus está en ambas orejas (creo).

Cualquier ayuda sería muy apreciada.

Hi There,

Sorry to hear you are not getting on well with the ear business. How long has this been going on? If more than a year, perhaps the ENT can do an MRI of the inner ear/brain to see why you are having these symptoms. Have you tried putting diluted hydrogen pyroxide in the ear? 50/50 water and HO. Should bubble and help eliminate infection. It seems like something is impacting your cochlea and causing the dizzyness. Hope you get relief.

Sorry to hear that dear. I am having similar symptoms after a bad viral infection last October 2025 then had 2 mild vertigo episodes which I managed as I know how to do the Eply Maneuver exercises, I flew back home 6 hours flight when I felt a lot of pressure changes in my ears, on 2 November the vertigo was back but more severe, I went immediately to a private clinic specialist who confirmed it is vertigo. Did all the tests, hearing, eye nerve,… etc all was clear. Then tested my vertigo positions to see which canal was affected so he has to do few maneuvers on all sides which made me so nauseous and tired. This is normal so he can pinpoint the right ear. My case was a bit complicated this time as I have been having these episodes since 2018 and know how to deal with it. BUT, this time it was very tricky and 3 canals were affected. I was being treated every day once for 3 days until all settled except for the left ear which was a bit stubborn. I am on 20mg Prednisolone once a day for 2 weeks and Betahistine 48ml twice a day and Benzalkonium nasal spray twice daily for a month . Never had this treatment before during my episodes. This all happened because of the viral infection I had on October and wasn’t treated well. To me it was the scariest episode I had because the doctor also was confused of what was happening and the way the dizziness attacks. He did other tests to exclude all other related possibilities. Now I feel much better except for ear fullness and pressure along with the whooshing sound, hope the left ear dizziness subside soon.

This is my case hope you feel better and enjoy healthy life.

The dizzy spells sound like vertigo. I had a bad bout of it 11 years ago. The room was spinning and I was violently sick. It could be connected to the cochlear or the vestibular apparatus responsible for balance. I also have tinnitus but over 11 years I have learned to tune it out. My infections are sinusitis. A rare auto-immune disease damaged my cochlears by inflammation and I am now deaf.
