Sangue no sêmen, muita ansiedade

I am a 6’1" 205 lbs male with no history of prostate issues. I had one day long episode of binge drinking while travelling (7 drinks). I noticed a few days after the trip that I had blood in my semen. No pain while ejaculating or urinating and was diagnosed with prostatitis at the walk in clinic. The urine test showed no signs of bacterial infection and I have been sexually inactive for several years. I was given Cipro 500 mg for 2 weeks and I been taking this as directed. I still have some blood in the semen after twelve days, but no pain. I am scheduled to go to the urologist in one month. I have extreme anxiety about what kind of things that this could be and also the type of diagnostic tests that will occur at the office. Any relevant comments or experiences would be appreciated.

A small capillary has burst in your prostate, probably. It is quite common and not significant. It will go away on it’s own. Google "Hematospermia "

A urine test probably would not show the infection. You should get a semen test. I had a semen test at the age of 22. The Urologist gave me a prostate massage and collected a little discharge on a microscope slide. You might be able to get a sample by masturbation also. The sample needs to be tested for bacteria and to determine the best antibiotic to use.

Good luck,
Thomas
