Started at start of year with pains in hips which then moved to left knee now both legs from hips to toes hurt a lot tried many perscription drugs but don't work. Dr has told me to take Ibuprofen although I am on Warfarin. I have had x rays, blood tests and yesterday I had an MRI and now awaiting results. I have just started working 12 hour shifts during the day and then when I go to bed I can't sleep because of the pain.
hi caroline , so sorry to hear about the pains you are having , i really hope there is a positive outcome for you from the tests you have had done , its not an easy time i know waiting for these things , but be true to yourself , i would only ever wait 2/3 days before i was on the phone wanting to know , they have a duty of care , and you can request to be referred to a specialist in orthopaedics who deals with pains etc in legs/feet etc, as far as you doctor saying just take ibuprofen , yeah well i was taking pain killers for years. dont be fobbed off.
kind regards billy , i will reply to all messages as and when i can.
take care of you.
i agree with william , couldnt have said it better my self , well said william , stand up for your self and dont be worried about what others think , the more noise you make the better the help ,
Thank you William for your kind reply, I will wait at least until Tuesday then I shall make that much needed appointment. I will let you know how I get on.
Like you Caroline, I have had MRI, have had dye put into me to check potential hot spots for badness. My hips hurt and ache and my knees as so painful at night that if I move in bed I wake up. My ankle is just getting. Worse as I get older. And in the cold weather in winter its horrendous. I should live in a hot country lol. So I empathise with you.
Went for the results of my MRI scan last week was told not much wrong, no surgery needed to wrap up warm lose weight and exercise. My sister has said I should change doctors. Seems like I will have to live with the pain.
When I first got assessed when I was six my doctor told my mum and dad that I was a good actor and if I wanted I could get up off couch and dance around the room. My parents sold a camper van and paid private. I was diagnosed with the bone marrow disease. Now at 37 I am on morphein and two other pain killers. But I am still in pain, I just have to live with it.
