Breast lump

Hello. l founded a lump in my left breast 2 weeks ago. Difficile someone of you fine a lump that turned to be normal breast tissue?

Hi Sabrina,
Yes this is very common ! my Daughter in Law - and my Niece and 4 or 5 other people I have known, this turned out to be fatty tissue. But just to be sure have it checked out.

Yes! I have had this happen a few times -at least. I panic every time. I am learning that, despite my brain kicking into overdrive and putting the worst case scenario in the forefront as the only logical explanation, it is usually just the opposite. Go get it checked out. Put your mind at ease.

How do u ladies know what you are feeling for?

Hi,About 25 years ago I had breast cancer and a one quarter mastectomy. I was not doing self exams. I never even felt the lump when I knew I had a cancer and where it was. I couldn’t feel the lump because I was told that it was too deep into the chest. I was lucky that I always had yearly “female” exams and this cancer was found early. I still have yearly exams by a medical cancer professional because when I try a breast exam I think everything feels lumpy. I’m told that is the normal feel of fatty tissue. A medical professional knows their job and what they are “feeling for”. A cancer is HARD and starts as just one cell that keeps multiplying. The cancer lump is hard. If you do monthly self exams and a yearly doctor’s exam you will learn what is a normal feel for you of fatty breast tissue. These exams are important and can be life saving. I doubt that you have anything to worry about but put your mind at ease and see a professional.

Fat tissue or glandular tissue???
