Does anyone have problems withere breathing with cervical spondylosis x
Hi joycemadine,
It depends on the levels affected by c/s.
As far as I am aware levels c3 are responsible for the nervous system controlling the breathing mechanisms.
You will get responses from others on this site who may shine a better light on this.
Mike.
Hi, yes I have breathing problems but mine is from spondylosis and spinal cord compression. This can affect the phrenic nerves which control lung function. Have you undergone a spirometry test ? If not request one from your GP. I was diagnosed with COPD which is exacerbated from the cord damage too. I joined a Facebook Group called 'Cervical Myelopathy Support Group, ACDF, All bones, muscle and joint conditions'. Lots of members have breathing difficulties likes us with spondylosis why not join up and talk to other people who understand - all welcome. Hope you get this resolved
Forgot to mention I have C3,4,5 issues
I do I don't know if it is CS that causes it but makes sense!
