broke my right ankle 6 weeks ago - cast coming off in a few days - when can I drive.
I did the same thing. When cast came off I was in a walking boot another couple of weeks. The orthopedic dr set me up with physical therapy. She said when I could graduate out of the boot to ankle brace I could drive depending on how I felt. I practiced 1 day pressing brakes and gas and rode around the neighborhood with my husband watching. I felt fine and am driving all the time now. That was a great feeling.
I broke my ankle in July and I just started driving last week. I was really scared at first and I still am a lil nervous because I be concerned about what if I have to hit my breaks real hard in a sudden stop! My foot still swells bad when I am walking too much. Its been a long journey.. But I'm sure it gets better. I was the same way wondering when i would be able to drive again. But you will get there. What ankle did you break?

I started driving 7 weeks post op but it was my left ankle
Felt great to get my independence back
12 weeks and at my final ortho visit i was told i could drive. i was okay tbh took things slowly at first but after a few runs it was all good.
