Bruise that turned into a rash

Hi everyone,

A few months ago I had a yellowish/purple bruise on top of my buttocks which has now turned into a rash. The rash has been there for about 2 months now. The edges of it are only slightly raised with what looks like some speckles of blood that have come to the skin. It is not itchy or sore. My doctor did not know what it was, thinking it was maybe ringworm or eczema. I have been rubbing hydrosol into it for 2 weeks but it hasn’t got any better. The smaller rash which looks like a mole has been on my tummy for over a year. It is rarely itchy and it is rough in texture. Also have a similar one underneath my breast.

Not sure if this is related but I sometimes get an itchy red rash/welt in the crease of my elbow that comes and goes, and about a year ago I had this same itchy rash that ended covering my whole body. They more so looked like welts. The hospital pinned it down to an allergic reaction, however I have no idea what caused it.

Have you had a blood test for clotting? Or one for blood sugar levels or vitamin levels? If not, ask your doctor for a full set of blood including glucose, vitamin levels and coagulation tests just to be safe. Do you get a lot of bruising?
You could try vitamin k cream for the rash to see if it helps.

An itchy rash in the crease of your elbow is usually eczema. I dont think the moles and the oval pink patch are connected. You could try an emollient with colloidal oatmeal in it. That may help.
If you get many patches like these do suggest that you have a blood test.
