Bunion Surgery Hurts part 5.

:D Better and better! Only another week to go until the pots come off - I really, really can't wait now!

Haven't had any more pain, except a sharp ache to remind me I have been on my feet too long. The sticky plasters over the wounds are still a bother, but I have poked a bit and managed to unpeel the edges, and that helped.

Even managed to walk to the corner shop 3 times, even if it took 5 times longer than normal.

Rang the hospital, who have advised me to take in 2 pairs of shoes when I go, as the feet may be swollen, or may not. Hmmm... :?

If anyone is considering having this done, I'd say go for both feet at the same time (if it's offered, some hosps still won't do it) it's not all that bad. There is no way I'd have gone back to have the other one done, maybe they should consider that, as it IS a painful procedure, no doubt about it.

I'll post an final update after the 25th Jan, with a pic of the final outcome. :D

And I really can't wait to get back to work - there's only so much Jeremy Kyle you can take in one lifetime....

Im glad to hear your recovery is going well smile

I am not, I repeat NOT, going to have mine done

thank you for these 5 installments. I've changed my mind. sad

Hi, I know you are a year into your surgery and probably not looking on this site anymore. But if you do see this I am just wondering, as I think you are one of the few people who had BOTH feet done at the same time, if you would do that again, as opposed to having one foot at a time. So many people are saying to me not to have both feet done together, but I feel that if I dont then I will not go back for a second, also get the pain over in one go! Also the terrors of not being able to get to the bathroom etc....

Hopefully things are really great for you now.

Kind Regards
