Been looking into Buteyko breathing treatment to help with my copd has anybody done it & has it helped ?
Sorry I haven't heard of it ,
Hi William,
I went on the net and looked it up. Watched a few youtube videos, and did the exercises .. which cleared my (constantly and infuriatingly) blocked nose almost immediately. So I think i'm going to learn more and give it a shot.
Just watched a video on it and am going to give it a try. Will let you know what I
think.
I have also been looking on youtube check out the BBC QED program from 1998 this has got to be worth a go the diffance it's made of their lifes amazing
Hi ,I have watched you tube it looks like it's worth trying ,thanks for, imformation ,
I watched a video presentation about it by an Australian man, who made a very interesting point:
He wondered why .. when Buteyko breathing techniques are proving so effective (98% successful in reducing the need for 'puffers' in the case of asthma sufferers according to clinical trials) .. is so little funding and exposure given to practictioners and exponents of this breathing method? He pointed the finger at Big Pharma who make billions from the sale of drugs, and inhalers, and all the rest of the paraphanalia that those with respiratory problems need to get through the day. With most new research funding coming from those very same Pharmaceutical companies .. they're hardly going to do themselves out of business by showering money on a breathing method that might do away with the need for their own products, now are they?
He has a point, doesn't he?
Hi ,I have only recently started this technic ,,,,but I still use my inhalers ,
This is it Josephine they are not going to lose money it pays them to keep us on their products
It will not happan over night Nanny but stick with it i am sure it will help
I will ,
the rehab nurses gave me breathing exersises to do ,nearly the same ,
Having trouble doing the Buteyko breathing technique. Not sure why exactly.
Any tips out there? Thanks.
