1 was diagnosed with BV at a quick care and they gave me medicine. I never even knew i had it or what it was, but they proscribed me medicine and took it for 7 days, 2weeks later i woke up with lower pains so bad I couldnt walk and wanted to throw up so i had to go to the hospital and after 7 hours they diagnosed me with a PID, and this happened last year.
Im still not understanding how i could have gotten it because they say you can get it from only being with another female who has it, douching, having too many sex partners or having a new one. But ive never been with a women, never douched, and at that time only been with 1 person.
Can someone explain this to me? Is it just a thing a women gets?
I think if your male partner has been with many woman his is the same case like they say for every one you sleep with you sleep with there ex partners too 😦, what was the pain like in lower back and im sure if having a sti for years it can lead into PID sure I read that somewhere xx
I had pains in my uturs area and pelvic. I know the guy i got with did have sex with around 10 girls girls before me and did cheat on me, but i did not know that until after I got sent to the hospital and attimuted to it. But I was told a male can not get it, which confused me very much... It still does.
Hi yes they say men can not get it, but I believe they either can carry it or do get it with out symptoms meaning they wouldn't know they had it it's strange isn't it I do wish someone would do research and maybe a documentary on it I know a lot of ppl would watch it xx
Yes i have done research and ive heard you can develope a PID from having one after prolonged period of time. So i'm guessing i had BV for maybe 4 or 5 months without knowing it before I found out.
How did the Dr find out you have PID is it curable , I kind of had it but mildly then in sep 15 I slept with someone ️️an it went much worse to the point I couldn't controll it I took that gel but it came back then I got treatment for thrush, but still there I really did think I had sti I haven't yet been checked went drs a few times for swabs but they wouldn't do it she has came me a urine pot tho so going to do that I think this week check for the normal, but I was prescribed metronidazole and all my symptoms have gone I have also had sex 3 times with my partner since takin them ️️an it has not come back and I even let him ejaculate the last time because I believe the level of ph in seman can cause BV but still ok ️️an no odour im starting to think weather it was the sex partner in sep that gave me it but once treated gone or if I have a sti that flured up ️️an has settled back down but I don't know how they work ️can symptoms with ️an sti be worse some months than others or go away after a while still gonna be screened tho would hate for that smell thing to come back also I threw away these tho ha I had which wear like a ️see through material which I also believe could have caused it ️️an bought some cotton knickers which seem to be feeling better down below hope you can sort you out ️️an find answers x
My doctor found out I had a PID because I went to the ER at 3am one morning with horrible pains, like i said feeling like puking could hardly stand or walk.. And it took 7 hours for them to figure out and it cam back as Pelvic Inflamitory Disease. How i know it was from bv was because two weeks prior i went to a quick care because i had an odor and more discharge than usual and i thought it was a yeast infection, but they told me it was bv and gave me medicie that did not work. But when I had my PID they gave me the exact medicine as you and it went away for a good few months but some how came back even when i wasnt having sex.
I got it from being cheated on. I obviously at the time had no idea I was being cheated on. I thought it was cuz we were having sex a lot more than I was use to. So I eventually found out bout my other halfs other half and put two and two together.
I also don't think its something thay can be given to us. The way our ph levels r...the first time we get it that it got it for life. I guess like lime disease. Sometimes it bad and sometimes its not. The first time I got it was with my ex. Didn't have it again for a long time. Then came back again. Finally found out bout the cheating thing and I left him. The next man I was with I could smell it and he as far as I know he wasn't with anyone else for a while before me. So I think once we have it the first time it all depends on urs and the man's ph levels. But I have learned how to never have to deal with this problem again. Thx to these bv forums.
Can somebody tell me what's PID means??? Im desperate , it's been more than 6 months that I get BV I loose the count of how many antibiotics I tooke, but im steel sick, today specially I woke up with so much iching .
Oh my god sound horrific ,? I slept with someone got this then found out they sleep around a lot a very very lot also have regular gf so this is apauling I feel he gave it to me never had a problem till him since I haven't been with him it's getting better slowly but surely it's like a sti I think that they CARNT catch on swabs of stuff the meds have worked for me even now I'm having sex with my partner of now it's not back I battled it couple of months though ️️an the mind over matter was bad too xxx
Well I'm glad u have recovered from it anf I've come to notice that it doesn't always happen. So I guess it depends on the guy ur with. I really wish this was something doctors would look into. I'm a single mother of four now and almost 35. Its hard enough to find a good guy with just that. U add a smelly vagina to the mix I'm screwed. It has literally put me on depression medication...which has in turn made me gain weight. So now I'm just a big mess. Lol life gotta luv it

Ps could be worse I've just found out my lumps I hve are called bartholin gland cysts or something and apparently they don't know what they caused by but can be having a sti a long time ️️an now I'm starting to think I have something up with me terrible this im back the drs tomorrow then 😳
Ty for the generosity but there r multiple things wrong with me that keep men away. One day I just hope I get used to be lonely then it won't hurt so bad anymore. I have cysts that aren't cancerous yet, but u can see them. So to a guy they look like herpies or worts or somethin I bet. Men don't think like we do and they don't know the things we know...

A PID is short for Pelvic Inflamitory Disease. You get it when the bad bactiera in the vaginia has speard so far up into your Fallopian tubes, which could cause problems for ever having kids and can cause bv to reacure more than usual. At least thats what ive been told. It also causes so much pain.
I suffered from BV for 10 years. I got it from oral sex in college. I'm almost cured but I took a radical approach to medication. I started using Valbazen or albendazole a few years ago. I use the liquid suspension made for animals. I know it's against medical protocol and not for use in humans. But it works. I use about 10-15 mL and add it to juice.
BV is caused by a organism that lives on your body. So it can survive in other areas of your body besides your vagina like your throat. It's difficult to explain. But, BV can survive outside your body and can grow on objects. For instance, if you have BV and wear underwear. The BV will still survive and grow on your underwear even after you wash your underwear with bleach. So you have to throw underwear and even pants away after having BV. Otherwise, the BV will keep coming back. Also, for clothes and objects you have touched while having BV in your throat you have to either spray disinfectant or wash with bleach.
I know what I'm saying is crazy but I'm almost cured from BV. It spreaded to my throat. So now I have a fishy smelling mouth and I cough a lot. DOctors say that men can't spread it. But this is not true. I believe men can spread it. It can live in people throats. After coughing in the air like in your car, YOU HAVE TO SPRAY YOUR CAR WITH DISINFECTANT or else it will come back.
I have suffered a lot and had a lot of trial and errors. But, I'm very analytical and I really do believe in what I'm saying. I was almost cured but I was living with my sister and she didn't have BV but I gave her a lot of my stuff when I had BV badly. It's very weird but if she took out old stuff of mine that I gave her years ago when I had BV badly, I would get old symptoms again. The organism that BV is caused by goes through cycles. So, you have to throw away or clean objects you are around when having BV.
