Calcium

Hello ladies..was wondering has anyone experience high blood calcium levels during menopause and if they are related?

That’s a good question, although mine were extremely low. I am taking extra C right now!!

Thats a great question, not sure! However, have you ever had your parathyroid gland checked? When out of balance it can cause high calcium levels and peri-menopause symptoms.

Yes it was checked..my nephrologist checked to see if I was losing enough through my urine and I was not so he said that was why it was somewhat high in my blood..so he diagnosed me with familial hypoclciuric hypercalcemia..which you have no sypmtoms ..just slightly elevated calcium levels..for some reason your body adapts to it..but going tomorrow to my primary physician for my physical and hopefully she can check it again..going through menopause probably dont help either :frowning:
