I’ve been treating molluscum contagiosum with cryotherapy once a month since March.
In April, my regular dermatologist was away, so I saw a replacement doctor. He said I had no lesions left, so he didn’t do any treatment. Later, it turned out I still had molluscum, and I continued treatment with my regular dermatologist.
My question is: could missing one month of treatment because the doctor missed the lesions delay the overall recovery time? Or does the infection usually continue its normal course even if one treatment session is missed?
I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar experience.
