CANNOT STOP CRYING

Hi Margaret, glad you are feeling a bit better now, we are all here to listen to eachothers woes as we all go thru it at time, we are all here for eachother which is good to know. Am off to Devon for a week on Tuesday so will read up on whats been happening on my return. Take care.

My episode of constant crying didn't have to do with PMR or Pred about 10 years ago or so.  It was major depression.  I simply could not stop crying and feeling sad.  Ended up in a outpatient program which at least gave me somewhere to go and new things to learn about my mind.  Therapy followed by such a good dr, and I still go to a "Group" each week with other women with similar trouble.  So I'd say, if the crying continues, ask for help!  I hope you are feeling better today.

Margaret, I should list all the symptoms you currently have in advance, some may be pred side effects and some may be the PMR, I don't know if you have many or very few. You could also ask recommendation on blood tests when and which ones, unless your GP already has that under control. Hope all goes well. I assume you have had a Dexascan and you are taking Vit D and calcium.

Ptolemy, yes i have had a dexa scan, and doctor put me on VitD and calcium as my VitD was nearly nil, had a high dose now but them from Holland and Barretts, thanks for the advice will do that and i have kept a diary of my daily syptems so will take that.

thank you, had a better afternoon.

Margaret, it sounds as if you have everything under control. Good luck on Wednesday.

Hi. I know you will be back home when you read this but I was wondering which part of Devon you were visiting. I live in Devon so am just interested (nosey)! Hope you have (had) a good time.

Hi Margaret must admit I get very emotional and sometimes tear up easily.  I am not depressed... I think the pred has something to do with it. Am lowering my dose gradually and hope the side effects will disappear. Feeling great now........

Hello Tisser, my crying has stopped and i feel tons better, since i have lowered to 8mg booth my feet ache so bad i can hardley walk, but the specialist wants me to reduce so i am doing it, but if it gets too bad i will have to see the doctor, as i have not been like this ever.

Hope all goes well for you, keep me informed.

So called 'specialists' always do want you to reduce - they wouldn't if they had PMR!

Right from the start my doctor has said "listen to your body".  You are the best judge of how you feel.

Have a good Sunday.  C.💐

Hi Margaret hope the feet get better soon, take the reduction slowly. Will be thinking of you.  Take care.

Margaret can sympathise I am in the same state as you, can't stop crying I am not depressed, I just find myself getting very emotional, my husband is very supportive I am lucky that he has looked up on the forum and he understands how I feel. Have been on pred for just over a year and currently on 10mg.  Hope that you are feeling a bit better...

Regards Tisser

I was terribly depressed in the beginning,  I was set on finishing it, wrote my note and made my plan, but thinking about what it would do to my wife put that plan to bed.   I still wander into that headspace now and then, but!
