I was wondering if any of you fellow Meniere's sufferers had tried acupuncture and if it has helped with the dizziness and vertigo. Also have you tried Bright Nutrition Brand Inner Ear Balance pills. They are made up of chinese herbs
I have tried acupuncture last year I dont know if its because of it but thıs year I haven't had any attacks. I think you you should try it.
Hi Jessdian2. I tried a chinese herbal product in South Africa last year for tinnitus and vertigo. Also tried Pine Bark extract and Olive leaf extract to boost immunity. Although it did not completely get rid of the symptoms, it took the edge off by 10%. I am not saying it will not work for everyone as everyone is different with varying severity on the spectrum. I have not tried acupuncture so cannot comment on that. If you are happy with just taking the edge off it a bit, then I would recommend giving these herbals a go. For me it is worth trusting in a higher power as well.
I wouldn't take any herbs for balance with Bethastine, as it can make over dosage. If you are not taking this medication, you should consult your doctor. About acupuncture, I am doing it regularly for past year for my neck and it very helpful. My GP, who actually first diagnosed me, told me that acupuncture cannot make any damage to my head. Couple of times I did acupuncture for headaches was successful also. I think it also depends on the specialist (acupuncturist) that you are going to. No one offered me accupanture for dizziness. If you easy bruising, it can leave sings
I just had my first acupuncture session and will continue to go. I hope it works
Thanks for your reply and tips. I have decide not to use the chinese herbs for now. I'll try trusting in a higher power too
I have decided no to take the herbs. But I am trying acupuncture, massage and may go see a chirpractic office that also uses physical therapy and massage . My acupuncurists says she can definitely treat the dizziness. I guess I'll find out.
I don't take Bethastine because it si not offered in the US but I also don't want to take medications. I had been on HCTZ ( a diuretic) for years and my ENT kept increasing my dose with little help so I weaned myself off of it a and didn't notice a difference. I also use to take Meclizine but find that it no longer helps. I actually am so thankful becuase I no longer get the vertigo spells that last hours. I just get these very quick ones that only last a few seconds to minutes and I can even deal with them except for the fact that they come on with no warning and it hit me driving one time. I don't want that to ever happen again so I'm trying everything I can think of except for prescription meds for now

Please, be carefull with chiropractors. Suddent movements of you neck can pull out off balance you head very quick. Also, if are you not on Bethastine , why not to try herbs? What you have to lose? maximum you can stop it. I was using herbs before
Bethastine, some of them working well.
From other side, if you on prescribed meds that working for you, you have to be carefull with herbs. Good lack with accupanture. I do belive that it works.
Tried acupuncture. Don't think it worked. Had quite bad period after one session.
Couple of thinks about acupuncture: First, all depend on Acupuncturist.
Second, I hope she or he didn't do any sharp movement with you neck.
We need to be careful with treatments as not everybody understands how take care MD suffers. If you don't feel good, you need to decide what better for you.
Feel better and don't give up. Weather getting better- good for us
