Hello I am reaching out to see if anyone can help . I am turning 27 and over the years since I was 18 my life has turned around in such a painful way that it's emotional to write this ! I woke up one morning with the worse pain it my left shoulder blade that felt like I pulled a muscle . I started to find out I was wrong and that's where my journey began . I have been to over 30 doctors over the years and I walk out every time in tears because nothing shows up and they are clueless . My pain has spread to my left shoulder blade, my skull and all down my spine until about my bra line . I have had acupuncture , Botox , injections , physical therapy , gone to a chriopractor, had about every test done that I could possibley done including MRIs and Xtays and NOTHING shows Up !!! I am trying out gabatepin right now but still nothing is working . I have been questioned and diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few times now because I think doctors just don't know what to say to me as I walk out crying but I don't have all the signs ! Nothing hurts below my bra line . Never a minute I am not in pain . Sometimes I cry myself to sleep and on the outside other then seeing me twitch like I have terrets you would never know the agony I live with every day . This is ruining my life in every way that I can't even hold a relationship. PLEASEE if anyone can help me please help ! Thank you .
Could it be pinched nerves which would be difficult to see?
That's really what it sounds like to me. Have you seen a neurologist or a neurosurgeon?
My mom and I have questioned that a few times now and the neurologist just said that it's not and couldn't help me .
How do they see that ? Nobody can see anything . As I type I am laying over ice I don't know what else to do
Jen, I don't want to scare you - and I am definitely not a doctor. This is just my own advice. If you haven't already done so, make an appointment with a cardiologist ASAP. You just described exactly what I experienced. Turns out I'd had a major heart attack. Woke up with unbearable stabbing pain in my left shoulder blade. Went to ER and no one suspected it could be my heart so they sent me home. Same thing happened again.I was lucky that one of our best friends is a cardiologist but even he didn't suspect it until he ran some tests. Has happened 3 times in 3 years - and each one resulted in me needing a heart stint. No one has confirmed this but I think that sharp pain we both had may have been from a blood clot.
