Howdy Chuck:
Monte Goodner here and coming to you from Hockley, Texas. I've been commenting on the Urolift procedure, which I had back in december with remarkable results. However, I have been taking Cialis to improve urinary function as well and, I must say that I can wiz like a ten year old for four or five days after taking one half of a 20 mg tablet, which seems to work better than the 5 mg daily dose. There are, of course, some other rather impressive effects of the recreational variety that one can expect from taking Cialis. But, purely from a urinary function perspective, I can most certainly attest to a having stronger flow and greater ease in emptying my bladder via consuming ~ 20 mg split in two doses each five days.
Regards,
M
Recently started taking cialis and doxazosin 4mg. I could not pee on my own after hip replacement 8 months ago. I am now able to pee in small amounts and very often. I still catherize myself before bed and get 700 cc out. My conclusion is that I cannot empty my bladder so this is why I pee in small amounts so often. So the drugs helped me to pee again on my own but did not cure my problem. If I didnt cath before bed I would be up at night peeing.
Merci Monte.
When my doctor wrote prescription for cialis 5mg for bph my drug company express scripts charged me 80$ for 3 month supply
I use cialis and it seems to help some but not a game changer. Once a day 24 hour.
Regards, Lou
Are you able to empty your bladder? Do you not get up at night to pee?
Mine is a story of seven miserable years, but briefly, I held so much urine for so long that my bladder stretched over time to be the size of a football with multiple diverticuli the size of one's thumb. My bladder looks like an octopus. Taking Cialis is the only element of multiple treatments over the years that I still doing after I had the Urolift procedure back in December. The Cialis most definitely makes my stream stronger and aids in getting my bladder empty. The Urolift procedure created a pathway for urine to exit my bladder; Cialis is what helps to make-up for the fact that my muscles no longer contract to push the urine out. I do not wake-up at night needing to pee anymore; I do not wet my pants anymore and the urine no longer stays resident in my bladder to the point of souring. Urolift + Cialis has solved my problem and I am disciple of both.
Hope this helps...

I used cialis some years ago for Ed, it gave me the most awful headache and nausea for the time the drug stayed in my system (48 hrs) so gave up on it. Had trouble with flowmax and it has been suggested that low dose cialis may be suitable.
Has anyone had unwanted side effects from taking this at low dose? Wont object to any recreational side effects by the way
Taking one half of a 20 mg Cialis every five days minimizes the headache while improving my urinary functions. It gives me a stuffy nose the first day after taking it, but I have no other side effects other than frequent erections that would make any man proud...
By the way... are all of you guys Brits...??? Am I the only Yank chimming-in from this side of the pond...???
I did for awhile, and it initially worked better than Flomax (tamsulosin) substituting the unpleasant side effect of retrograde ejaculation with the pleasant side effect of better erections. Later, it stopped working as well (same thing happened to me with Flomax) so I stopped taking it. Cialis does have some other potentilally mild side effect which can be found in the literature. If it's OK with your doctor, try and out and see how it works for you.
Like others the 5mg daily works well and after a couple of years seems to be less effective.
Two things, take it on an empty stomach (and then don't eat for an hour) or at least two hours after you eat because it competes with fat.
Second, if you have a prescription there are some reputable Canadian pharmacies that will sell you generic made in India, don't worry I have taken them for 3 months and they are much cheaper, not much more than $1 a pill and work just as well. I was told they are made in a facility that is FDA approved even though in USA generic Cialis is not available.
You have to be careful there are some bogus pharmacies make sure you can call them on the phone and they require a prescription.
Chuck,
When I first took it I noticed that, now when I take it it's not noticeable.
By the way I forgot to mention there is a so called "manufacturer's coupon" so you can just take your subscription to the pharmacy and they should be able to get you 1 month's supply for free so you can try it out. Or get coupon first on internet.

Took 5mg for 30 days and had reasonable success with the BPH issue but had non stop acid reflux so I had to quit and return to tamsulosin.
Same problem with daily Cialis and reflux however I found a quick and easy fix. Took one OTC Prilosec 60 minutes before breakfast and no reflux problem. If that doesn't work you could try a higher rx dose or combine with other reflux meds.
I started taking 5 mg Cialis daily because of bothersome BPH during the day. (I did not have problems during the night.) After only a couple of weeks, I was better, and in less than 2 months, BPH was not a problem. I do have a somewhat stuffy nose occasionally, but this is minor. I consider myself fortunate to have seen BPH advertisements on television because the ads prompted me to ask my doctor about Cialis.
I think the price is really high. So the easiest thing to get it cheaper. It is just search in Google for the keyword 'GET247CLS'.
Good Luck with it.
