Hola, empecé de nuevo con citalopram 10mg el 29 de noviembre del año pasado y la marca era "accord". Tuve unas semanas malas con él hasta que los efectos secundarios se asentaron, luego después de 4 semanas la dosis se aumentó a 20mg... Luego, después de 5 días de aumento, la marca cambió a "aurobindo". Seguí adelante y las cosas se asentaron después de unas semanas de malos efectos secundarios (tengo ansiedad aumentada cuando empiezo estos medicamentos). De todos modos, tuve 3-4 días buenos una vez que los efectos secundarios se asentaron, pero luego 10 días antes de mi período me derrumbé y lloré mucho y la ansiedad estaba allí. Luego, una vez que comencé mi período, parecí mejor. Tuve 3-4 días mejores y 3 días fantásticos después de eso y realmente pensé que había dado la vuelta a la esquina.
Me desperté el viernes y apenas tenía ansiedad. Fui a la farmacia a recoger mi nueva receta y la marca había cambiado a "accord" de nuevo. No pensé nada al respecto, ya que lo había tomado cuando empecé con los 10mg. Lo tomé el viernes por la mañana y el sábado por la mañana me desperté muy ansioso y nervioso, lo tomé de nuevo el sábado por la mañana y me las arreglé para pasar el día, pero no me sentí tan bien como el día anterior... El domingo me sentí mal, lo tomé por la mañana como de costumbre, pero para el domingo por la noche me sentí terrible, lo tomé de nuevo el lunes por la mañana y las cosas simplemente empeoraron, ansiedad por las nubes, arcadas por la mañana, náuseas, piel ardiente y punzante en mis brazos que no había tenido durante 3 semanas y pánico de nuevo. Simplemente está empeorando.
¿Podría ser debido al cambio de marca? ¿O es solo una coincidencia y es mi ansiedad? He hablado con la farmacéutica y va a cambiarme de vuelta a la marca que tomaba antes. No he tomado mi citalopram esta mañana porque la farmacéutica me dijo que no lo hiciera y esperara la marca antigua que debería estar lista hoy.
¿Alguien más ha encontrado esto con el cambio de marca o solo estoy leyendo demasiado en ello? X
Hi there. You are at about the same stage as me. I started end of November too, 10mg then to 20. I then increased this week to 30 and my anxiety has gone through the roof again. The pharmacy gave me an extra 10mg which is a different brand to the 20mg I take but ive just carried on. I think its probably just the increase as a lot of people say you get an increase in anxiety when taking more. Did your pharmacist say this could be an issue. Ive seen people mention this before but surely they cannot issue a tablet which is different??!!
I am also on my period at the moment and that sends my anxiety sky high as well. I dont know whether its all in my head, the tablets or possibly hormones/peri menopause! x
Hola, no he tenido un aumento en 6 semanas. Parecía haberse estabilizado y luego, 10 días antes de mi período, mi ansiedad se disparó y mi estado de ánimo bajó mucho. Luego tuve una mejor semana, pero al día siguiente de un cambio de marca empecé a sentirme realmente mal. ¡Hasta el punto de que pensé que me estaba muriendo! Todavía no me siento bien, pero no he tomado esa marca hoy y estoy esperando una diferente. Tuve que tomar 2 mg de diazepam ayer a las 3 pm porque estaba muy mal x
Funnily enough (or not!) I questioned everyone a few weeks ago on this point as I had a change of brand too and felt crap but I was due my period too. Everyone said that they cannot mess with the strength of the drug etc as it would mess everyone up. I did google it but got no definite answer! I'm going to carry on for the time being with my two different brands lol but will be really interested to see what happens when you get your usual ones. Mine are Medreich 20mg and Accord 10mg, both from the same pharmacy.
I really don't know how to find out for sure but if different brands are doing that to people then the manufacturers or whoever need to sort it out, it's not good enough.
It could also be that you're just having a blip as we all call them. I was great for two weeks, back to normal and then the period hit and all hell broke loose again. I calmed down but still had a nervy tummy on waking which has never gone. I have had a couple,of health scares in between caused by a doctor, all of which were fine so that didn't help.

Hola, no es la fuerza del medicamento lo que cambia con la marca, son otros ingredientes, desde lo que usan para envolver las pastillas hasta cómo se prensan. Al parecer, el ingrediente activo puede metabolizarse de manera diferente. De todos modos... Hoy conseguí una nueva marca "Teva" ya que el químico no pudo conseguir la que yo quería. No tomé la marca "Accord" hoy, tomé la marca Teva en su lugar. Me siento mejor que ayer, pero ahora no sé si es por eso o porque el Diazepam de 2 mg que tomé ayer a las 3 pm aún está en mi sistema x
If it is that then that is so wrong especially for those of us who suffer anxiety. They should be made exactly the same way. Omg I feel so annoyed !!!
i doubt it's the diazepam as after mine wear off after a few hours, I go back to feeling crap the next day. I am always worse in the morning but get better by the evening whether I take the diazepam or not. These drugs certainly are a minefield!

Tengo que decir que tuve una mala reacción cuando mi marca fue cambiada. Sufrí ansiedad elevada, me sentía enferma, corriendo al baño, sudores y hormigueo por todo el cuerpo, y cuestioné mi marca, así que la hice cambiar de vuelta a mi marca habitual y todo se calmó dentro de 48 horas, volviendo a cómo estaba,
Así que encontré que definitivamente hizo una diferencia,

Gracias por eso, Wendy. Espero que sea lo mismo para mí. Mi ansiedad era horrible y empezó siendo leve después de la segunda pastilla y fue empeorando con el paso de los días x

i think I'm going to phone my pharmacy in the morning and see if I can get the same brand then. I cant tell right now as I've only increased in the last 3 days but my 20 is Medreich and my 20 is accord. I also had Bristol at one point, all from the same pharmacy!! I just find it incredible that manufacturers can mess around with what should be the same drug. Surely that's playing with people's lives??!! What if it was a heart medication which is obviously important. I really don't know what to think right now!!! If they are different, that is well out of order. God, we suffer enough with this illness, as it is!

Mine siempre está realmente mal por la mañana. A veces obtengo más alivio por la tarde, pero con el nuevo medicamento, el aumento y los períodos he estado bastante mal x
You sound exactly the same as me, mornings are awful, can't sit still and feel I have to get everything done, like a nervous energy but horrible stomach feeling. Starts to get better in the afternoon/evening and again, like you, periods start it all off again! I'm having a blood test tomorrow for menopause to see if it could be that x

Sí, entiendo el acuerdo, ahora el farmacéutico ha hecho una nota en mis registros. Claire, me puse cada vez peor y cuando hablé con mi médico, me dijo que podría ser el cambio de marca. Una vez que volví a tomar la marca antigua, noté una diferencia después de 24 horas, pero tardó un par de días en estabilizarme.
Debbie, es todo citalopram, pero son los ingredientes con los que se mezcla lo que son diferentes. Cada compañía usa diferentes ingredientes (rellenos/revestimientos) y eso es lo que puede hacer que las personas se sientan peor.
Definitivamente me sentí peor y sé que fue la marca diferente la que lo causó. Si preguntas al farmacéutico, intentará conseguirte la misma marca. Vale la pena intentarlo.
No estoy demasiado mal, Debbie, me siento bastante plana en este momento. Es bastante extraño, en realidad.

Gracias por tu respuesta Wendy. Fue la marca accord la que me hizo sentir peor, ayer la cambiaron por la marca teva. Solo espero que esta funcione mejor.

Espero que sí, Claire, tu cuerpo debe tolerar mejor el otro, deberías notar una diferencia en un par de días,
Estoy tomando 20 mg de citalopram y llevo tomando 20 unas 15 semanas ahora

I have just spoken to my pharmacist and he said that the brand change will not make a difference. In fact he said he had never heard of it making a difference and that manufacturers are not allowed to do anything different to them, they have to be made to a specific level, if that makes sense! Not sure I believe him right now! I still asked for the same brand as my other one and they didnt have it. So im stuck with it right now. Or I just stop taking it. God this is a minefield.
I fee crap this morning again, and have taken a diazepam which has not touched the sides! I did feel like this when I first started taking cit so maybe my issue is with the increase, who knows x
Bueno, ayer me sentí un poco mejor, hoy no me siento tan bien. No puedo deshacerme de esa horrible sensación de desastre que me ronda. Sin motivación, me siento perdido, tengo punzadas intermitentes en el pecho, el estómago en un nudo. Simplemente no me siento bien.
Quizás el cambio de marca es psicológico para mí, no lo sé. La marca que conseguí ayer es una que ya había tenido antes, pero fue hace unos años. No espero sentirme al 100% mejor de la noche a la mañana, pero me gustaría ver una mejora en la intensidad de mi ansiedad. Si tengo un par de días mejores (que son pocos y espaciados) cuando vuelve, se descontrola y es tan intenso como siempre. ¡Me pone tan inquieto y agitado que no puedo pensar con claridad y siento que estoy perdiendo la cabeza! Es una sensación horrible x

¿Por qué los farmacéuticos ya no pueden obtener Medreich, alguien lo sabe???

I have pretty much always had Medreich too but when I got my new prescription a couple of weeks ago, it was Accord and Sandoz! I'm on 30mg so the accord is 20mg and the Sandoz is 10mg. The
Pharmacy apologised and said they couldn't get it any more. It's more likely that they hunt for the cheapest deal they can get at the time!!
Anyway, it hasn't made any difference, no weird side effects etc, I've just carried on as normal.
When I first started cit back in November last year, I did think that brand changes were causing problems but having now recovered, I think it was more likely the cit taking its time to sort me out!! My prescription does specify Medreich but I guess, unless you phone around the pharmacies in your area to check what they have, you just have to take whatever they give you. It does play on an anxiety sufferers mind though x
