Constantly weak and hot

im 8 months into this now and the thing that seems to make me freaked out the most right now is overall feeling weak and hot that makes me break out into severe shakes at times it really scares me because the shakey feeling happens randomly but after i eat something the shakes stop…but the shakes can happen an hour or two after ive already eaten so its not like im starving or anything…was curious if anyone else has that same feeling still after so long

It’s just very important to eat and drink well with this thing.
Prior to this I had horrible eating habits, some days I didn’t even eat anything and I haven’t noticed any effects, since I’ve been sick I have to have breakfast, lunch and dinner and preferably nutritious foods at that or I feel horrible.

yeah exact same situation for me too i eat 3 meals a day now healthy have been drinking organic green and carrot juice… i guess thats why it freaks me out because i am eating and eating well but i still feel this way…i use to eat 2 meals a day before this illness and wouldnt feel bad at all

i also was a big coffee fan before this illness idk about you lol i would have 2-3 mugs a day but cant do that any longer only make a half a cup a day now and make it weak i notice when i make it too strong it makes anxiety worse

I actually drank a cup of coffee and an hour later i almost passed out was so dizzy sick to my stomach i started tingling and going numb and felt like i was having a heart attack. I started sweating worse and my skin got all clammy with chest pain its been two hours and i still feel terrible i am not sure if it was the coffee or what but i know it scares me to death.

oh gosh! maybe stay away from coffee for now…if i make it too strong i do feel panicky for a while afterwards…but then again if i dont drink any at all i have coffee withdrawals i tried quitting cold turkey during the beiginning of the virus but that wasnt a good option for me…if your like me and do need coffee i suggest just making half a cup sipping on it slowly and dont make it strong if after a sip or two you start feeling funny just dont even bother drinking it if it gives you all those symptoms josh because you dont want to make yourself feel worse

i also suggest trying it in the morning instead of the afternoon i noticed it does give me sleeping issues when i would drink some in the afternoon…but it can make anxiety worse i do believe if you had too much and it was strong thats probably what did it

I dont really drink coffee anymore and it was pretty strong to me but i also dont know if thats what gave me that feeling.

well if you havnt been having all of those symptoms lately and it happened shortly after drinking coffee i wouldnt doubt that it was the coffee because ive had times where it made me feel very strange

also i noticed it made me feel worse when i didnt eat anything with it now i have to have a full meal with my coffee

It could have been who knows..i just want to be healthy again.

im sure it was and i feel that…ive been praying for everyone on here i just hope we can all get over this soon its draining

Yeah it is i am so tired of symptoms and ailments there isnt much joy in my life right now i just do the best i can which isnt much. At this point i just do not even care anymore there is obviously nothing i can do and the doctors have not given me a definite answer they just say mono like virus so i will try to live life as best as i can.

trust me i know all of it is insane every single symptom is so intense and lasts so long…i do believe yours is mono josh mine also shows past infection but basically the doctor explained it as “the recoop phase” like recovery so its not full blown anymore but you still have horrible symptoms from it all that can linger on for a while unfortunately…very discouraging here lately ive been struggling more than ever just wondering when im going to be freed of this i know your in that spot too right now and it sucks really bad…but just coming on here reading recovery stories is so encouraging do that when you get discouraged it helps me to see that there is a light at the end of this…but also talking about how your feeling to others that get it also helps i honestly dont know how i would be getting through this without this forum

Yeah my whole family and doctors all want to say hypochondriac and anxiety. I have never complained about health for 28 years and i get sick and no one believes me. So frustrating to me.

Hey Katelyn,

Definitely want to reassure you that that kind of weak feeling and hot flushes / low grade fever can be SO normal during mono and even as your body starts to recover - just hoping so much this all settles down soon and absolutely want to reassure you that this will get better, I went through a similar phase with the virus and it does pass.

It’s totally understandable to be feeling frightened at these kind of symptoms, tremors I believe can be something which occur with horrible viruses like mono - again supplements / herbs / vitamins which support the nervous system can be helpful, things like B complex, co-enzyme Q10, cayenne pepper, chamomile, gingko biloba (maybe not all at once though). I’ve found cayenne pepper in particular so good at soothing the body particularly at night and helping to get a good sleep - of course always check for interactions with other medication / conditions before starting herbs though as I always say!

Craig

they dont understand how bad this makes you feel…ive never felt this way my whole life either

thank you craig

Hope it can be a better weekend for you Katelyn - hang in there - you will get the victory over this thing.

Craig

I would get the shakes all the time. It was more provoked by events such as something exciting happening or me being nervous for something coming up but nonetheless that would never happen to me before getting sick. I guess sometimes it would just happen all of a sudden too, now that I’m thinking about it. I remember a specific time when I was sitting in class, maybe the third week into the school year in September (around 5 months in) and all of a sudden I felt very faint, got anxiety, and was extremely shaky out of nowhere. It’s like this weird jittery feeling and my heart starts pounding too. Still happens, and it has been more than a year for me now. Everyone experiences it slightly differently. Please try not to worry yourself! It’s pretty standard from what I’ve experienced and read over the course of a year on this forum. Hang in there, I know it’s tough but you can and you will get through it
