Ladies, I had an appointment for a check up this past Wednesday (I am seeing my gynocologist every 4 weeks or so due to some cervical cancer) and for the first time in almost one year had NO sign of white blood cells (infection) OR bacteria! My pH was 4, which is great, the lowest it's been! Here's what I've been doing:
*Mug of warm water with 1/4 of a fresh lemon squeezed in. (I then also leave the piece of lemon in the water as I sip; make sure to wash the lemon really well for this!)
*__________vaginal health probiotic
*I cut WAY back on sugar- I'm only eating sugar when I eat fruit.
*Cut WAY back on grains. I DID cheat the other day and have a piece of organic whole wheat toast with avocado on it
*No processed foods- eat raw and natural
*_________gel at night
I'm not saying it can't or won't come back- I just know that this is the first time in about one year that I've been free of infection and my pH has been low!
The link between diet and chronic health issues is not discussed enough. Diet has a HUGE effect on your body and health- and changing the way you eat can work so much better than prescriptions for so many things. I also used to suffer from terrible IBS- for about 5 years I saw a dietician, a GI specialist, etc. Had my gallbladder removed, was on prescription anti-spasmatic pills, etc. Then starting eating clean- removed wheat, grains, sugars, alcohol (sad to give up my wine!), etc from my diet. Started every meal with something green to aid with digestion. Green smoothies in the morning for breakfast (spinach, romaine or kale, celery, water, banana, apple, pear, lemon juice), etc. My IBS hasn't bothered me since!
It took about two weeks and I wasn't curled up in bed with terrible pains and cramps after every meal.
