I have the usual side effects again since increasing 10 days ago from 10 mg to 20 mg. People out there that have increased this med is it normal to feel increased anxiety too?
Hi Alison
yes it is normal. I made the mistake in increasing my dose to 40mg because of the sensation of anxiety which I hadn't experienced to that level. Only to find out from someone on this site that it's normal to get increased anxiety. Not sure how long it averagely takes for that side effect to go as I foolishly didn't wait to find out. Hopefully someone here will put your mind at rest xx
blessings xx
I'd say number one most common side effect
Yes. Just like how you first started with 10mg, your body adjusts to 20 mg. May I ask as why your doctor increased your dose?
Thankyou guys. Its reassuring to know thats its common. Think my anxiety is getting the better of me!
My dose was increased after being on 10 mg for 12 weeks as my I felt like I wasnt progressing. My general anxiety was still affecting me daily too
Hello Alison,
Yes it is quite the norm to feel increased anxiety with Cita, even when you increase. However, you may feel as time goes by this and other effects subside (or you just get used to it).

Hi Alison
raised levels of anxiety are typical with increased doses of cit and very uncomfortable. Try coping strategies like listening to Music, breathing slowly and distractions which you enjoy. unfortunately it's a waiting game but keep telling yourself these symptoms will go they are annoying blips and you will get better ,this too will pass.
Be kind to yourself and don't hesitate to share with us your fears .We have all been there!
