Day4

morning all my fellow hippies, well I'm happy to  be home, on my own bed and my own surroundings, I'm in a lot of pain fron this one, it seems when they got into my joint it was a lot wosre than the left one, so i had to have recieving bone repaired before the new joint could go in, all i know is i'm really sore, so i'm on morphine 6 times a day for the first 2 weeks wa letter from the hospital for my gp telling him to give me more if i need them, so i'm having a duvet day, catching up with my soaps.

Thanks to all of you for supporting me through all this, I will keep posting as the drugs wear off,

Love

Lynne xx

Morning Lynne and welcome home. I had to have bone graft into socket and various layers built to close hole. The main issue was that muscles and tendons had shortened over time so were rebelling at the stretch in first few days. I don't think my recovery was any slower than most people's once I reached the one week milestone.

Rest, painkillers and very gentle exercises only. Hope you have someone to look after you.  Xx

Oh Lynne

Big hugs to you. Sounds like you have had a tough time

I am on day 5 and got home yesterday

Had a crappy night sleep, throbbing leg and heels so came downstairs to walk, have a drink and research on this forum what could help

Enjoy your chill out day xxx

Just to reassure you that bone graft doesn't, in my experience, affect recuperation.

I was also on oral morphine for several weeks and found it really helped. 10 weeks now and things going well.

Good luck. Enjoy resting while you can 😄

Elaine

Hi Lynne,

Just nothing like you're own bed is there? A duvet day sounds like a great plan....remember to look after those bowels with all that morphine x

Ha g tough little lady!

may the odds be ever in your favor.

Wishing you a great recovery. Thr isn't easy I have had three. I know in a few months you will have your life back.

take it easy you sound so determined, positive and I admire you for all that you have been thru.

I hope you have a great recovery. I know how difficult the first weeks and months are. As time goes by so does the pain, as you gain strength follow your dr, and therapist directions you will be over this before you know it. By Christmas you'll be dancing with your loved ones.

3x thr.
