Dealing with my partners Anxiety disorder and fear of dying making it worse

Hello , sorry for the long post but here goes my partner of 9years had a panic attack the same night we both tried smoking weed for the first time! She thought she was dying and couldn't breath ect and was in a real state for about 2/3 days I myself at the time thought she was crazy and laughed (thinking weed couldn't do this) but I now know I'm wrong, she was fine for about 10 days then boom another panic attack hit while we were out in the car just randomly started we went hospital and she had blood tests, chest X-ray ecg ect and doctors told her she's perfectly healthy which was great and she came back down to earth and we went come the following weeks just got worse from 1/2 days to everyday turning into an anxiety disorder, she spends a lot of time on the internet and Facebook reading all about it as do I, some days we get through with a slight hiccup and others it's constant , it's effecting our relationship aswell I have OCD and hate change so I'm not the easiest person to have anxiety around although I'm learning new ways to help her deal with it but we could have a great day not have any problems then soon as I comes to bed time and she starts thinking then the anxiety kicks in , she has a fear of dying and everyday it's something different like heart attacks or now cancer. The doctors gave her tablets which she's scared to take in car it makes it worse what can I do to change her thought pattern and thinking she's dying thank you

You have ocd so you can imagine how hard this all is in her. Something is mal functioning in her head. Try to calmly convince her to take medicines to helo her. If you arent going to walk thrh this with her please be sure she has someone in her life that will be supportive of her thru this. Its rough to go thru it as it is..

This makes me absolutely so sad, it's crazy on these forums how many people have weed induced anxiety, etc. It's a harmless drug for many people but it sucks some of us go through this, I also had a massive panic attack smoking weed and it wasn't even my first time smoking?! Like you, my friends couldn't understand why I was freaking out so bad. The room was spinning and I thought I was going to die or the weed was spiked, but it wasn't! Smoking brought out my underlying anxiety and was later diagnosed with panic disorder it's so terrible. Please be there for her, remind her that you're here and maybe you can't understand what she's anxious about but you will help her through it, remind her she's safe for the time being and if it ever gets too bad you will always be with her to see a doctor/whatever she needs to hear! Our thoughts can be so irrational, we know this but even still we jump to the worst possible conclusion. It must be so hard for you as well, I'm sorry. meds have really helped me, starting on an antidepressant (great for panic disorder) and for the first few weeks of starting the anti depress also taking fast working benzos is best, they calm you down within 30 mins. Hold her hand and say if the meds negatively impact her there are people that can help and she's in safe hands! My weed induced deperaonalization happened about two months ago and since then it's been a crazy roller coaster but I'm getting better and hope one day I can be normal again. If you ever need to talk about this I'm happy to chat. x

Did she have fear of dying already?
