Demovate for LS

Hi

I have LS it is evil. My skin is also ridiulcously sensitive. I tried Betnovate Ointment which I was allergic to and now have Dermovate ointment to use but am terrified to use it as I don't want to go through an allergic reaction. Anyone had anything similar. The consultant appointment is being booked as we speak.

Hi there Jempy....Loads of girls are using the dermovate most are ok...The only way you will know is to just use a tiny amount on a place that is not sore and that way you will find out if its the LS that is causing the problem or the cream... You must use a steroid as that is the only treatment for the healing process and also find yourself a good barrier cream to use in conjunction with the steroid and on its own, which keeps the wetness from your skin as the acidic water can irritate you.Do not wash there with any soap use an aqueaus paste which mixed with warm water will soothe you and lubricate your skin as well as washing you ...that way you will help to ease your symptoms...If you read through the messages here and on **** message board you will find lots of dermovate users or equivalent. It is a case of getting to grips with the condition and finding a daily routine that suits your needs which you will find lots of the girls are doing and it does benefit.... . Take care Marilyn
