I’ve been getting depersonalization and it’s been bad because I feel like I’m obsessing about it and what if it makes me go crazy. Anyone have any tips on how to cope I also have started running which helps a little bit hasn’t taken it away.
Depersonalization is very common with stress and anxiety. The more you obsess over it the more it will be there and possibly get worse. That’s because you are increasing your anxiety about it. Remember that depersonalization will not hurt you but I know how weird and scary it can feel.
The key is to relax your mind and body as much as you can. I have had this and my experience is that I needed to find a way to manage my stress better. That included getting some counseling, regular exercise which releases good hormones in the brain, eating healthy foods and cutting out the sugar’s, caffeine, etc. I started listening to relaxing meditations on YouTube for anxiety. They totally relax my mind including depersonalization and my body.
You have to Be consistent in doing these things. Do things that make you feel happy. If there is stress in your life, it’s difficult to deal with on your own. Either speak with a counselor or somebody you can vent to.
You will have good days and not so good days but you have to keep pushing on and taking care of yourself.
Think positively , it’s really important. Every day I write in my journal about things I am grateful for.
I do hope you feel better soon.

You need to move on when this happens, it seems to be problematic when we are younger. You could try to divert yourself from this sensation try humming a song or looking for a diversion to control this sensation. How long do you feel this happens for, I found it used to go after around five mins and it would just shake my head and move on. Sometimes if you click your ears by a gulp may help, drinking a glass of water while holding your nose. that may help.
You need to divert your thoughts away from this problem

Hi Jenna This is common in stress and anxiety. It can also be due to medication especially anti depressants, benzodiazepines, opiates. SO the thing to do is to look at your meds and see if this applies to you. If it does your dr may discontinue the offending drug. Remember it is your body and that you are in control of what goes into your body. Always scrutinise the drugs for side effects and if unhappy say so. You owe it to yourself to take responsibility for your own healthcare.Take care.
Same here problems i have also fuzzy vision and dizziness from anxiety
