Dermatitis, eczema anyone?

I guess hormones affect any and every organ of your body, has anyone developed eczema or dermatitis due to hormonal changes??? please help

In a word … yes. I’m currently treating various patches of dry / rough / itchy patches of skin with hydrocortizone cream. Worst bit is on a finger (which is REALLY itchy ), but its also on my chest, neck and wrists. Aveeno cream helps too. I’ve also found that clear shower gel helps as opposed to a creamy one.

i have developed eczema over the last few years and very dry skin im 55 years old

I have been helped greatly by using perfume free vitamin A cream. I am usually not allergic to perfumes, but of late, the perfume free variety is working best. The best part is, it can be used all over the body with good results.

I have noticed my skin is drier than it’s ever been. After a shower I always put lotion on but there has been several occasions that my legs are itchy.I have used hand lotion like crazy lately too. I don’t think I have changed brands so it must be my hormones.

thank you ladies for sharing your symptoms and suggestions, I will definitely try those things. it’s crazy how new symptoms creep up every few weeks. so grateful to have the support from this forum and you ladies. thank you

Hi, I have also developed a eczemea type rash in the last few years, which I treat with hydrocortisone cream, on one of my shins. It disappears for a few week then comes back again. It is only ever on the same leg! Both my index fingers and the side of one hand also has really dry skin which looks a bit like eczema too.
I am amazed of all the symptoms of peri menopause, I just hope we can all get back to our normal selves one day.

Yes. I have eczema on my lower scalp now. 2 years and counting. it flares when I get hot which is like every day.

oh yeh…and I.ve had little red bumps show up on my upper legs and even broke out in white welt looking hives in same area…not to mention all the other itching just in general I have now due to dry skin.
