at first I thought I had maybe vaginal tearing or just extremely sore from having unexpected drunken rough sex over this past weekend. I finally examined myself & found “paper cut” like tears & sores around the vulva area. I immediately knew & rushed to urgent care to start taking meds. I feel so embarrassed and gross. I cried the entire time at the dr. I’ve been researching like crazy since then, on best ways to handle the first outbreak. I want to say the symptoms started Monday & maybe the sores appeared on Tuesday of this week. Peeing stings but I’ve been taking ibuprofen & using a cup of warm water to help with the pain. I have so many questions.
I’m vegetarian. Do I need to change my diet? Based off the research I’ve found there are some foods I should maybe avoid & ones I should eat more of...?
Does tea tree oil really work?? The epsom salt baths seem to relieve the pain temporarily. Should I try baby powder or corn starch to dry out the blisters??
I’m unsure on how to tell the person I slept with this past weekend what I’m dealing with right now.
I’m unsure of how severe this outbreak is. It seems to be less severe from what others have faced & shared online.
How likely is it to have another outbreak??
Should I take the acyclovir (not sure if I spelled it correctly) daily???
How do I continue to date? When is best to tell that person??
Any answers will help. I’m such a private person so this is completely out of character for me to reach out for help online.
