I woke up this morning at 5am feeling like someone was squeezing my stomach. I believe these are stomach cramps.
I thought it was maybe gas. I went to the toilet and what followed was pure liquid. Felt like I'd opened a fire hose. My stomach was still in a lot of pain.
I started to go very hot and was sweating. I was convinced I was dying at this point (I have anxiety, on meds for it). I woke my girlfriend to call an ambulance. I felt my pulse and it was around 50bpm. I couldn't understand why I was anxious and my heart rate wasn't rising.
Turned into a full blown panic attack. Shortly after I ended up vomiting. My girlfriend said she has episodes of sweating before and during being sick. That calmed me down a little.
Around 6am I had to rush to the toilet. Still in pain. Same thing happened. I was pooping at the same time as vomiting into the sink.
This happened another 2 times and around 11am I was no longing pooping or vomiting. I can't believe so much liquid can come out of your intestines!
I spent all day in bed feeling unwell. I was going hot and cold but my temperature was 37.4 under the armpit so just under for a fever.
I've ate a weetabix, and a ham roll. They remained down thankfully. I've drank cups of tea all day and just lay in bed. Fell asleep many times.
It's now 10pm and I'm feeling better. There is still lingering cramping but it's nothing like it was. My groin and stomach are feels tender to touch too.
I can't understand what caused this. Prior to this I've been feeling well. I've been on high dose sertraline for 2 months and the side effects have knocked me about a bit causing loss of motivation and loss of appetite amongst other things.
I had cheese crackers at 10pm last night and I'm convinced it has something to do with the cheese. I wasn't sure how long it had been opened. Or someone in the house touched it and transferred germs to the cheese.
Nobody else in the house or anyone we know has a sickness bug so I can't imagine it being that.
Hopefully it gets better quickly.
