hi need some advice please been on diazapam 2mg for5 days and wondered if i can taper off them i'm also on properanolol 10mg for anxiety which i take in morning and diazapam at night,can i just stop diazapam with only being on it a few days or should i cut it down to 1mg for a couple of days, please help
It shouldn't hurt you if you only been taking it for a few days now. Normally it cab take up to a few weeks to have the full effect of a medication. You will OK if you stop.
Hey I take lorazepam which is also a tranquilzer like diazepam with this stuff you can stop and start when ever you want it’s different to antidepressants. I take it 3 times a day when my anxiety is really bad
You will be fine to just stop. I have diazepam to take as and when needed as it has an immediate effect on anxiety/panic and have taken it everyday for 2 weeks before and just stopped. I can go weeks without it and then just have a random few days when I need it again... unfortunately I can't take propanalol as I'm asthmatic
With just 2mg a day for 5 days you should be able to stop right away. It's a very low amount and short time so should be totally fine xx

From whet I have known , your body will not depend on the dosage of 2 mg for 5 days. You may google Ashton Manual And read able benzodiazepines dependency. They have a really good tapering schedule. I myself have been in diazapam for 17 years. Now in 15 mg per day (5mg x3) . Hope you are doing well .
Drs are now very restricted in prescribing these drugs. I would read the Ashton Manual.
ave u read about the dangers of long term benzos. A dr has made several podcasts about this.
i have only been on them 5 days not took any for the last 2 so i can't eally say i'm addicted
I don't think anyone is saying that you are. I suggest you research the benzos and find out for yourself just xactly what very nasty drugs they are. They are no6 only addictive but damage the gaba receptors in the brain.

do you find lorazepam better than diazepam. Do you take a strong dose?
