Best w1shes t0 y0u

she l0st her v1s10n temp0rally!! {That stuff was Venafalax1ne}.  She was 0k after a week. All 20 pat1ents that were put 0n 1t hated the stuff, 1t made them aggress1ve and they c0uldn't sleep. But thats what they {the pe0ple wh0 make dec1s10ns at the t0p} want peple 0n!! 1nstead 0f Benz0s - Th1nk venaflax1ne sells at 60p a p1ll whereas Benz0s 1ts less than 2p.

You are experiencing withdrawal...diazepam needs to be reduced slowly.you really need to go back on your original dose and stabilise on that for a few weeks..then start to taper slowly ..maybe drop 1mg per two weeks ..google diazepam withdrawal or look up the Ashton Protocol ..the latter is the bible for getting off benzos...they are very very difficult to withdraw from especially the way you have done,-As I said resume your original dose..do your research and have a word with your doctor ..doctors don't realise the problems with Benzo tapering.Good luck

Pat

Rubbish ..you are giving out wrong information

Thank you

Having stopped tho for 4 days it seems silly to go back on them if I carry on without them how long do you think these stomach aches and back pain will last

the info from "sphrar95270" is rubbish ..look back over other posts..you can become addicted to benzos after as little as a month ...I am involuntarily dependent on them for 44 years ..have been through withdrawal..I know whatvI am talking about

So you got stomach pains how long did they last

Until I resumed the diazepam..you will just have to ride it out ....

Ok u have been very helpful thank you

h0w 1s 1t rubb1sh? 1 have been tak1ng them 0ff and 0n f0r ten years. 1 never get w1thdrawel when 1 d0nt take them - 1 last t00k 60mgs 3 days bef0re xmas - n0 w1thdrawel!

lexapro, withdrawalDetails:I've been having severe withdrawal symptoms after my doctor made me ween off of Lexapro recently. These symptoms are severe restless leg syndrome all throughout the day, being jittery, uneasiness, and being overall restless. I'm also sleeping a lot less, waking up during the night, and I've been smoking a lot more, and I mean a lot. Has anyone else experienced these types of withdrawal symptoms from Lexapro?

There 1s an example -

when y0u have anx1ety y0u want a cause f0r that anx1ety.

The med1cat10n {d1azepam st0ps anx1ety} thats why when y0u st0p tak1ng 1t y0u get sympt0ms.

Here 1s the reas0n benz0s are gettng such a bad press - they n0 l0nger make pr0ff1t-

Valium withdrawn as patent expires

The Independent · January 30, 2002

by Steve Connor · Science Editor

Valium, brand name of one of the world's best known tranquillisers, will no longer be sold in the UK. Its maker, Roche, took the decision after the expiry of the patent.

Although Roche has stopped marketing Valium, other firms will continue to sell their own versions of the drug under the generic name of diazepam.

Valium was introduced in 1963 and its enormous success catapulted Roche into the pharmaceutical super-league, where the Swiss-based company remains one of the world's key players. The drug belongs to the family of benzodiazepines which are widely prescribed for the treatment of anxiety and sleep disorders, and as muscle relaxants and anti-convulsants.

In the 1960s, millions of people took Valium to relieve stress and to overcome insomnia, although there was a controversy over claims that the drug could lead to dependency in some pateints.

Roche said its principal role was developing new medicines and it was not unusual for a firm to discontinue a medicine after the patent had expired. There were many other tranquillisers available, it said.

No wonder you got no withdrawals..60mg will last a long time in your system

i have just withdrwn from 30mg of citalopram over one year ..it was hard ..but nothing like Benzo withdrawal

1ts been the same s1nce 2011/2012 th0ugh... 1 mean we are all d1fferent. 1 th1nk al0t 0f pe0ple c0me 0nlne w0rr1ed and the f1rst th1ng they are b0mbarded w1th 1s 'd1azepam m0re add1ct1ve than her01n' {well they have clearly never w0rked w1th add1cts then'. They are anx1us and all th1s makes them w0rse. The l0ngest 1ve been 0ff d1azepam w1th0ut any w1thdrawel was 3 m0nths. 1ts that easy f0r me. 1 feel s0 s0rry f0r pe0ple w1th wh1ch 1ts harder and 1 d0 l1sten and take 1t 0n b0ard. 1 just read w1th my Gp that 1n 0rder t0 bec0me phys1cally add1cted y0u need t0 take ab0ut 30-50mgs everyday f0r 28 days. Perhaps the b00ks the wr0ng...we are all 1nd1v1duals. 1 have had t0 treat pe0ple have se1zures fr0m alch0h0l w1thdrawel - a fr1end had 0ne years back - s1nce then 1 have learnt all ab0ut gabba recept0rs etc. 1 th0nk there 1s AL0T 0f scarem0unger1ng regard1ng benz0s r1ght n0w and 1ts k1nda sad because f0r s0me 1t can be can 1ncred1bly helpful med1cat10n. 1f y0u read the s1de effects 0f ant1 depressants y0u w0uld never take them!! anyways en0ugh n0w. Adrenal1ne causes st0mach ache and l0ss 0f appet1te s0 1t c0uld be anx1ety. All be best

You are obviously one of the lucky ones regarding Benzo withdrawal...for most people it's harder than coming off heroin because the symptoms are so protracted ..yes they are helpful and so are AD's ..and yes the side effects from drugs such as citalopram and venal faxing csnt be horrendous...but every one on valium is not like you .....

It is fair to say we all have different experience folks, we can all associate with each other symptoms, but only if we have had them too.

I think argue when we need to support each other is not good, and its probably the anxiety / depression. A balanced view that is legal and moral is always the best. Restep need support not to be in the middle of another argument people.

Come on folks lets help
