Did I Break My Vagina? HELP!

So in the past couple weeks, I lost my mind a little bit. Today is Monday and between Wednesday of last week and yesterday I had pretty rough sex seven times with two different guys. Now my vagina hates me and I'm sweating whether or not this is a serious problem. 

So here's a basic rundown:

- I used protection (condoms) each and every time I had sex with both gentlemen. Both guys I slept with used Trojans condoms, if it matters at all. They both went and got condoms unprompted, so I gather they don't do a lot of raw dogging, but who knows?

- One of them is average sized, but the other is huge! Like biggest I've seen on this side of a computer screen in years lol

- I was sort of sore after three rounds of pretty rough vaginal intercourse with the big guy on Friday, but proceeded to have sex again on Saturday night and Sunday morning. 

- If one of them had an STD that could be spread from skin to skin contact, like herpes, they weren't showing any sign of an outbreak at the time. And it's been like 72 hours so I don't think one would begin to show symptoms so soon? But I really wouldn't know how that works 

- Against my better judgement, I had shaved up everything nicely on Saturday. Sensitive skin always rebels against me when I do 

- Yesterday, my fun bits were bright red on the inside, slightly swollen, felt irritated and a little itchy. Today, I'm back to being pretty in pink, but still sore and kind of itchy.

- No pain or problems urinating 

- No rashes, sores or redness.

- I've got some less than pleasant discharge going on, but not much. I'm expecting my period quite soon, and this is kind of common for me.

- This was the first time I had experienced new sexual partners in over 2 1/2 years. And I had not had sex for nearly a month beforehand. 

- The soreness and irritation has definitely wained, but I'm still feeling paranoid 

- I have a tiny, but deep Bartholin's cyst. So this isn't the first time my pretty kitty has reacted poorly to rough sex. You can't see the cyst at all if you don't know it's there and I take care of it well to prevent it from growing.

- I've had soreness and irritation from rough playtime that has lasted up to a week before. I'm just getting a little freaked because while I'm far from prudish, I don't usually run through sexual partners like this. 

I can be such a worry wart about things like this! And going of the internet is never any help. All its done is convince me that I have anything from a yeast infection, herpes or late stage AIDS -.- Is there anyone who can talk me down from the edge? Or if you've experienced something similar, I'd like to know what it was and how you treated it!

Hi well least a condom was used if not used to rough sex I'm sure you will be sore from this but personally go alone to your still clinic get check that will. Put your mind at ease but keeping clean after sex it good do let us know take care

Hi Tommi,

The internet isn't the best place to get a diagnosis, as you've pointed out. It can be easy to develop paranoid feelings and read too much into any symptoms, however mild, you may be experiencing.

However, if you haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary besides soreness, and both men properly applied condoms prior to any penetrative intercourse, then it is very unlikely you'll have serious to worry about.

Herpes symptoms may not manifest for up to 6 weeks after infection, and it is possible, although not as likely, for the virus to be trasmitted whether it is in an active stage or not, condom or not. If you think you're developing sores, see a doctor immediately.

If you have pink or red irritation, it is posible that you could have thrush, but this is commonly accompanied by pain when urinating. Again, if the rawness persists, it might be best to consult your doctor.

Ultimately, it's best not to leave anything up to chance. If you're sexually active with more than one partner, then it's better to get tested regularly.

Thank you so much Justin and Liz for your advice! The information about herpes is always good to know, as it is so common.

I only started noticing the discomfort on Sunday, so if it does not subside in a couple more days, I'll see a doctor. I have also read that very rough sex (which is pretty much the only way I do it) can cause microabrasions which are itchy when they heal. All the soreness and swelling has subsided after a Sitz bath and some ice on it, so I'm hoping the itchiness will as well. If it's something that's more serious, I have health insurance for a reason lol.

Hey guys, I'm back! I ended up going to the doctor yesterday because the itching was getting bothersome. Doc said she's reasonably sure it wouldn't be an STD, but checked for all of them anyway. Doesn't hurt to know, and I'll be getting the results next Tuesday. Right now, I'm sure that I don't have any type of VD. I'm also still HIV free!

I did however, test positive for a yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis. Doctor chocked it up to having new sexual partners using different types of condoms and me taking bubble baths like 4 days in a row. Mix that with guzzling down at least a handle of whiskey and smoking like a chimney over the weekend, you've got a recipe for a screwed up pussy PH. Got a single dose pill for the yeast and 5 days worth of gel and H2O2 for the BV. It's only been an hour, but I'm feeling better! May just be pyschosematic, but I'll take it lol.

Thanks again for your responses! I've only ever had 1 UTI and I've never had an STD or been pregnant, so kitty concerns scare the crap out of me. Good to know it's nothing crazy!
