Discharge after colposcopy

Hi

I had a colposcopy Monday for high grade abnormal cells and was told I'd have discharge for up to 4 weeks after. I thought they meant bleeding but mine is clear!! It feels like I'm on a heavy period as in I can feel it when I leak but there's no blood! I had light as in pink bleeding for the first 24 hours but since it's been gushing clear

Is this normal?

Hi,

I had laser treatment for cervical erotion and the discharge I had sounds exactly like what you describe. It lasted around 4 weeks like they said and then totally cleared up and I had no further problems.

Yes it is normal and a healthy response. The discharge ensures your cervix is kept clean. Withouut it your risk of infection would be high and your healing delayed. x

Thank you all. It's just the weirdest feeling. Almost like when your waters break but not so much lol
