Dizziness (vertigo), lightheadedness signs of depression?

Hello,

I have been feeling dizzy and lightheaded for a while. It started with the room spinning when I turned my head left and right on the bed, or when I stood up from the bed. that disappeared. Now I have an unsteady feeling when I walk and get dizzy feeling when turning my head. Also feel lightheaded.

Can this be signs of major depression/stress? as I was recently diagnosed with stress/major depression and was adviced to take antidepressants?

Hi i have depression and anxiety and thought my dizziness was due to that. My symptoms were EXACTLY the same as yrs gomez. I was successfully treated with stemetil over 9days for positional vertigo. Obv u would need diagnosis from a dr x good luck x

If you rise to quickly or turn your head quick, although in your case you are turning your head left to right to quick you will feel dizzy, it is caused by the fluid in the brain sloshing around in the skul

 In bed the same applies.

Dizziness can also be caused by your inner ear been blocked with wax etc, you will be able to purchase drops in the chemist or ask your GP to inspect your ears for wax or infection. If you have been poking your ears that can also cause damage, talk to your Doctor.

Sometimes Anxiety or depression may cause you problems, if you need Antidepressants I would advise you take them

Hello Gomez. I am sure that the dizziness and lightheadedness is miserable. Have you seen your GP as in sure you are going to need a diagnosis so that you can be properly diagnosed. Will you get back to us and let us know how you are feeling. Are you on any new medications? Diane.

Hi Gomez - are you taking those anti-depressants? It could be a side effect from those. If so, it should pass.
