I am currently Dating this guy and I had sex with him with a condom the 1st time. A couple days before we had sex again I told him that I had herpes Simplex 2. I disclosed that it wasn't a big deal and that there is a risk that he can get it We then had sex without a condom for the second time. How likely is it that I can pass it onto him without using protection I've only had herpes since may and I am now taking suppression medicine every day . (valacyclovar)
Also do guys really not care or does it matter how much you like the person?
You can only pass it on if you are having a out break and yall having sex or if he have a cold sore and y'all have sex with out a condom ,, but I do care a ppl and I don't wish this on nobody smh
Hello if it's doormat you shouldn't be able to catch it. Only when it's active (outbreak). You cam still catch it with a condom but it does cut the chances. He must like you don't let him go! But yes 2shay is correct I wouldn't wish it on anyone just make sure if he gets any symptoms to go straight to the sexual health clinic. He could be a carrier tho x
Wow, I'm not sure the information about not being able to spread it when you are not having a breakout is correct. Both HSV1 and HSV2 can 'shed' when there are no outward symptoms -- which makes it VERY possible to spread when you have no symptoms.
I thinks whether someone cares or not depends on the person, and the type of relationship you have. HSV1 can be spread non-sexually, but herpes has the stigma of being an STI (both 1 &2) so the default is to recent cheating (there can be some dormancy of the virus as well).
Good for you for being very honest -- that's the smartest approach. If a guy can't handle it -- it is only fair to let it be his choice.
