I’m 22M. Never had sex before since I’m insecure about the fact that I can’t pull my foreskin back when erect. I can pull back my foreskin when flaccid, But when erect I can only pull it back enough to see the tip of the head before it starts to hurt and I can’t pull it back anymore. If I try to pull back further when erect, it causes pain and I lose my erection.
The thing that seems tight when I pull back my erect penis is the a red fleshy string (my frenulum). I fear it may be attached too high or be too short… Do I have frenulum breve?
Pics of what I’m talking about when flaccid:
I’ve been doing phimosis stretches (2 finger and frenulum stretch) for about 2 months now and I’m not seeing much progress on erect retraction.
What are my options? Can I still have sex with a condom and lube? I’m so scared this will limit my sex life, especially cause it causes pain when retracting erect and I tend to lose my erection because of it.
If I do have frenulum breve, can it be cured with stretching? Or will I have to resort to a frenuloplasty? I hear steroid creams can help with stretching, is this true? I live in the US so I can’t go to a doctor right now cause of lockdown.
I had the same problem when I was younger and what I did was mainly taking long hot baths and leaving it pulled back. I would also pee with it pulled back, and same for my orgasms. A little explicit but I would also rub the head itself everytime after orgasm, which is insanely intense but it also decreases the sensitivity. Same for leaving it pulled back in your underwear.
If you go to a doctor they will most likely suggest you get circumcised.
I would persist with your stretches, as you are 22 YOA you need to build on the stretches you have been doing so they become second-nature.
So like any bodily exercise you start real easy and build on this: add to the number of repartitions you do, so for example add another 4 or 5 every week. Then extend the amount of time you hold the stretch for each repetition. Your frenulum will develop in the suppleness, elasticity and overall physical resilience required as you build on the stretches that you are doing
And yes, a mild steroid can help - as you live in the US you can buy these online, do some searches to find the general one that is recommended by several different sites.
In terms of your sex life this is where you need to build on your psychological resilience. What you need to understand is that many men across the world have lived with having really major issues with their foreskin throughout their adult life. Many of these simply do not have access to medical services as we understand them. The vast majority of these will have very enjoyable sex lives and certainly will have fathered children.
At least you have lots of options in comparison - all you need is the determination to see the stretches through to a successful result.
