Does anyone else have pressure/numbness in face?!

I have been really struggling lately with physical symptoms that my doctors says is anxiety. But its just so deeply weird! I get skin crawly sensations and burning in my upper legs. But the thing that really messes with me is this pressure/tightness and numbness I get in my face. Does anyone else get this? I feel so alone. Nothing seems to help it sad

try seeing a chiropractor i am dealing with the same thing at the moment have anxiety and a lot of head pressure been taking meds for the anxiety which are slowly helping but the pressure in my head is due to my neck being put of line and in a very wierd position from years of bad posture that is putting a lot if tension on my head. Maybe you are having the same problem hopefully this will be your solution as well.

I get this, I seem to get waves of pressure if that makes sense? Is yours all the time? I get prickling tingling in my arms & vibrating, shaking in my legs...

I think anxiety does feel like it’s going to hurt you and it’s something I still struggle with but it won’t hurt you. It’s very uncomfortable though and I understand how you feel!

I agree about getting your back/neck checked out as my back is out and I know it’s leading to more pain etc

I get this as well! I think it's a combination of anxiety and also having a messed up neck. Definitely see a chiro, and ty not to worry when it happens it's nothing serious

I had this for a lonnnng time.  It seemed to go away randomly when I had my anxiety under control for a period of time.  I used to ALWAYS think I was having a stroke "this time."  I only had it on one side of my face.  I'd suck the inside of my cheek to make sure I still had movement, but it was anxiety every time.  The legs I never experienced personally.

Hi Carrie,

I am sorry to hear you are struggling with your physical symptoms. It is so horrible I have had anxiety for years and it has been fairly under controlled until recently I had had very bad physical symptoms for 4 months straight. The symptoms changed day by day but there was always something. The thing that bothered me the most was the burning sensation!!! For 4 weeks I had a constant burning sensation in both of my thighs and then after that for 3 more months only my right thigh constantly and sometimes my whole right leg. It was so scary and doctors kept telling me anxiety too. I see 4 different doctors and got told the same thing. I seen a specialist im under for other reasons and he was concerned it maybe something more and ordered me an MRI which came back clear. My anxiety is medicated and under control now and has been for the pst 4 weeks and the burning sensation has also gone. So to have it for 4 months straight and now gone, I am starting to believe it was just anxiety. I hope things get better for you and defiantly if in doubt don't give up, you know your body but it is possible it may be your anxiety.
