Currently I’m taking B vitamins and a product called Estro-Adapt (recommended by my naturopath). I’m not feeling any better as time passes though. I’ve read that low dose BCPs can help.
Hi Owlgirl, I have heard this too. And even the morning after pill works for some people. I am on Elleste Duet which I believe is a similar oestrogen/progesterone
Pill similar to contraceptive pill only higher hormone concentrations. I'm going to ask about Bhrt or patches as I am still suffering alot of symptoms and to a very unpleasant degree! XXX
Sorry you’re having a challenging time too. I’ll try just about anything, which surprises me actually. I’m such a “granola” about health issues, but I’m not finding any relief from these symptoms. It’s hard to go to work some days. Thanks for sharing.
Hi. I was recently having heavy bleeding due to either fibroids or perimenoause for over three weeks. Now taking vit b and progesterone x 3 daily pending coil being fitted as only current option. Try looking at diet aswell as that helps grapefruit melon and seeds hope things improve.
Hi owlgirl! I have been taking birth control lutera for 9 years. I am now menopausal at 54. I can say it helped me being that I started it in my forties and it kept me stable. No symptoms that were problematic till recently when I stopped taking them for two months to let my body do its thing. That was a mistake! Thats when full blown symptoms really kicked in. I am not familiar with what you are taking but I am back on my pills for now till my gyn may switch to an hrt later. The symptoms were too extreme for me and I won't go into that now, but it was bad. I had blood work done last June on the off week which showed my levels at menopausal. Now I take them continuously so that I won't go back and forth with the levels. Hope this helps any.
I take one and it does help me. I started last year and it helps. I take Estarylla .25-0.035 mg. I tried another one that didn't work, so they put me on this one. It has made a big difference. I'm also taking B vitamins and calcium supplements recommended by my dr.
That doesn’t sound fun at all! I hope some balance will return with the vitamin b and progesterone.
That does help! Thank you. If there is a safe way to get through this using a birth control pill, I will try it, even though I haven’t used them for over 20 years. Quality of life is so important though, and mine isn’t feeling great at the moment. Being a woman is not for wimps!
