Does my herpes outbreak look like its healing.

I got had my first break out which started about a week and a half ago now (well that is when the blisters had formed), itchiness and almost soreness started id say over 2 weeks ago now.

As of yesterday i started antiviral medication.

Safe to say this has been one of the worst experiences i have ever had, as you can see it is extremely inflamed around the urethra, therefore agony to wee, it has gotten to the point where i can only go if i put numbing cream all over before hand.

Realistically how long do you think it will be until i really start to notice a difference and potentially could wee without the need of numbing cream? Basically do I have long left before everything can heal?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. thank you! @

I’m really sorry that you are going through this. It looks like it’s healing since it’s crusting and drying out. I personally don’t know how long after antivirals that it completely gets better but most people pass over their outbreak within 4 weeks. Please follow up with your gynecologist if it doesn’t get better by then. Well wishes to you.
