Epsom salts (magnesium) baths

SOme of you may be interested, so Just sharing FYI

ive been having magnesium baths for a while (epsom salts). I do get anxiety and not only do the baths calm me, it really helps with a good night sleep, aching muscles but the next morning helps with going to the loo too!

it is thought to be a natural detox too, help rid of toxins from your body (deodrant chemicals etc)

I buy a 25kg bag as its significantly cheaper but you can get smaller bags just to try.

i have 3 a week and add about 300-400g per bath and submerge as much of my body as i can for at least 20mins.

magnesium is a natural mineral which our body needs. You can make a drink with it apparently which is a VERY effective laxative (I havent done this)

Hi, Drinking Epson salts does not sound appealing but bathing in them does. I have struggled with going to the loo since g started orlistat but I just put it down to my food intake being dramatically reduced therefore less waste? g don't really like taking laxatives so I will try the magnesium. Thank you for your post  Xx

This is so weird i was going to mention these on my blog last week.

I started having Epsom Salts in my baths (about 2 weeks ago)

I got mine from the chemist £1.39 for a tub i didn't want to spend a lot incase it didn't work but they really do work.

I bought them as i suffer with upper back pain and it really relaxes the muscles. But i have noticed they seem to make my stomach gurgle bad.

I have digestive issues so would never take it as a laxative.

but they are very relaxing

So on getting my prescription tonight I saw someone with a tub of salts which reminded me so I bought one - how much should i add to a bath?

Hoping this will help me "go" a little more x

Derr would help if I reread your msg lol. Just seen 3-400g. Lol x

Oh enjoy the most relaxing bath ever, if you read this in time take a pint of water with you so you dont dehydrate.

Thanks husky.

These could end up expensive baths -£2  for a 200g tub lol.

Once a week isn't too bad I suppose.

Duly noted I shall take a glass with me x

Thats why I bought a 25kg bag lol

Wow!  I have to say I feel very relaxed lol.

Now to see if anything happens in the morning lol.

Haha you'll sleep so well too

raising magnesium level is so important

Think that's possibly best night sleep in ages! Wahooooo lol

Isn't it amazing, but ibet you feel more alert today.

Glad you enjoyed it. Stock up girl and have a few a wk. I got last lot from justasoap

Takes nasty chemicals from your body too and you just relax...my idea of heaven!

It was lovely.  It certainly hasn't helped with the other side of things but it was relaxing.

I've felt REALLY tired today though did you find that when you first started them? X

Tbh I've used for quite a while so I can't remember (currently typing on phone in a magnesium bath !!)

Defo try a few more times to see if it helps with the you know what!! How much did you put in? I add 400g or so perhaps you need to add more? There's loads of info online about the benefits & used etc

If nothing else you get a good nights sleep & raises your magnesium level

The tub was only 200g so put it all in but next time ill go for 2 pots lol.

yes ill defo do it again but maybe Friday when I don't have work the next day lol x

Oooooh definitely going to give this a go just read on the how stuff works website it can help reduce wrinkles so wondering if it'll help stop sagging skin whilst losing weight. Also I'm gonna tell my sister about them as apparently they can benefit kids with autism and my nephew has autism. Just gutted Iv only just seen this and not before I went to the shops earlier

I really cant imagine it can help saggy skin as thats about elasticity and tone etc

Be careful with children as whilst ive also read it can benefit theres also info about too much magnesium is harmful to children Research well
