My doctor has recommended the EX-Press mini shunt to help lower my pressures Has anyone had this surgery?
I had a different shunt implanted and am very greatfull that I did. I do not know anything about your type of shunt as mine was an Alhmid Shunt which I did a bit of research on. I do know this; my IOPs went down, dramatically and are presently 14 as opposed to 40+!
The operation was painless and rather quick with no SEs except a “Vampire” eye that took my wife some getting used to. The extremely blood shot eye clears up in about a week or so and that is it.
