For 10 days straight.. I've had Brain fog / Lightheadedness / Head pressure( Forhead/back/left/right side/ and recently my neck and back of head has been soar.. but for 4 months or so ive had muscle tension all over my body in which I would find my facial cheeks /shoulders / arms / legs constantly tensed up..). But the lightheadedness / brain fog / head pressure.. It hasn't left at all.. It hasn't got worse or better most of the time.. Some days I do feel 20-30% better to the point where I can watch youtube on my phone but most days its bad to where I cant function. I noticed when I wake up it isnt their 50-70% but it gets worse maybe 30 minutes to an hour later in the day..
I went to the ER after it started and didnt go away for 24 hours. They did a MRI/EKG all clear.. Said it was stress / Anxiety. Gave me a Xanax and I felt way better.. I could function. Before.. I had to stay in bed all day with my eyes shut 24/7. The ER Doctor gave me 5 Xanax doses just to get me through until I see a GP doctor. It got me through and I was able to function and I only had very little brain fog.. Everything else was gone.
I went to the follow up doctor and he's going to do a full blood work test(As he thinks my thyroid function is low).. But he only prescribed me Welbutrin. He refused to give Xanax. He wouldnt give me anything for the Lightheadedness / brain fog / Head pressure. So now I have to suffer and stay in bed all day with my eyes shut for a week.
Nothing has worked.. Tynenol / Motrin.. Only excederin tension headache has helped me (30-40% but the brain fog remains) But it has 65mg caffein per dose which gives me really bad anxiety. Anyone ever have this problem? What over the counter drugs helped?
I do believe it is anxiety if Xanax is working.. So it might be tension related.. But the brain fog is always their.. Just not as bad. Ide appreciate any advice / help
Ive been suffering from anxiety since 2011.. But it recenlty came back in september.. It started with me getting my car and I couldnt feel the steering wheel untill 2-3 seconds later.. things got slow.. felt a delay in sense of touch. I got really brain foggy and lightheaded. That happened 2-3 times this past 7 months(2 times when I sat in my car and another time recently after I got up).. And anxiety always follows. My typical anxiety symptoms is ( Chest pain / Lower throat pain / Heart flutters / palpitations / racing heart / Brain fog / cold feet and hands / Body jolts sometimes.. Shakiness) But recently these new sypmtomss ( head pressure / Lightheadedness and brain fog has started almost 24/7 ) Is this really anxiety? The ER / GP Doctor / nurses / Ambulance thought so.
I also have this constantly not for 5 months really getting me down
Hi there.
I have many of the same issues, so I will list mine.Maybe this will help you
Legs shaky, jittery, and jerk really badly
Palpatations
Feet become cold and go numb
I have lost 20 pounds in the last 2 months. Many times do not feel like eating
Head full of pressure
Faisal pressure above eyes in forehead and pressure in the cheeks. This creates plugged ear that t hold my nose and blow to get rid the the pressure. All of this facial pressure and head pressure gives me fizzy spells and feeling off balance most of the time
My lips get all buzzy kinda like pins and needles .
This starts the moment I wake up even before my eyes are open. Walk around
.
Like my legs will not carry me. And that anxious awfull feeling.
So there it is.......daily in my life.
And tomorrow I am having a cardiac ablation for my tachycardia (SVT) that started in Feb.
Could life get any better????????
I'm sorry
have you been diagnosed with anxiety? They said it was anxiety for me.. And my doctor thinks low thyroid function so maybe Anxiety meds / thyroid meds can help you?
YES I have every one of those symptoms I get pressure so bad feels like my head is gonna explode I have so many test done even ct scan on my head and everything is normal started seeing a psychologist and the first thing he asked me was of I had tingling or pressure in head and said it was anxiety
Are you Gona get on anxiety medication? I'm seeing my doctor to try something else besides Welbutrin. I'll let you all know if it improves over time with medication.
Hi Heat.....I too have suffered with these same symptoms for many years. Was tested for everything under the sun. Of course all tests were negative and was told it's all ANXIETY!!!! I Take meds but they don't always work. Hang in there I know how frustrating this can be. Ask your doctor for some Xanax or At Ivan to help get you through the rough days. This anxiety sucks. 😕
Well, I kinda told my doctor is was anxierty. Nope won't take medication. I am scheduled to see psychologist June 8/16. So very tired of all of this. All I need to do is get over this ablation tomorrow. May after having it will help my anxierty. The worry of this for the last 3 months has been auwful
When you say head pressure do you mean like a headache?
I think it's my thyroids because I have cold feet / hands / heart flutters. But I do think anxiety is making it worse
It's not painfull at all. I just feel a heaviness pressure on it.
Has it gone away at all yet? Any meds?
Yes it goes away at times. I think it's mostly because all the tension I have in my face and ford head / eyes so it's causing tension at other parts. I'm mostly worried about the brain fog / Lightheadedness.
Oh so this isn't all the time
Just until recently.. Ide say day 6. It does go away with excederine. But the Lightheadedness / brain fog is constant.
Have you tried any meds? When you say brain fog do you mean like your head feels full of cotton physically or just like you are forgetful?
My doctor prescribed Welbutrin but that's more for depression so I don't wana take it. The ER Doctor gave me Xanax and that reduced my symptoms a great amount not all the way tho.
Brain fog For me feels like I'm muddled and impaired. It is hard to concentrate and sometimes I don't feel like I'm their and that things are going slow. It's really hard to explain between Lightheadedness.
Oh ok I thought you meant like a physical symptom
Are you having the same symptoms as me?
What do you think? It's anxiety or just thyroid issues?
Have you ever had constant symptoms of anxiety or do they usually go away in time
