Extreme lower back pain when laying down

Everytime that I sit up for too long then try to lay down, I get extremely painful sharp pains in my back. It feels like my spine is trying to rip out of my back. It feels like little shocks going through my spine. I can't even breathe because they're so painful. I have hip problems and I wonder if this has any connection.

Hell Magan, I am sorry your suffering pain with your spine. I would certainly make an apointment with your GP. It sounds like this could be siatica pain which starts from the spine. As you say you have hip problems, it may or maynot be to do with this. The only way is to get a proper diagnosis asap. Nobody here can diagnose your pain.

Best wishes.

Elizabeth.

It sounds like your having back spasms! A chiropractor can help you if that's it! Good luck!

Sorry Megan!!! Have a doctor xray it. MRI shows the most. I read the other girls post. Siatic nerve is mainly in each glute muscle (butt) and runs down your leg to your toes. connected to your spine. If you sit too much this nerve can become very painful especially in the glute (glutemas maximus) muscle. Ive been dealing with lower back pain for over 20 years now. So have it looked at. A bone spur hurts a lot too!!! Hope you feel better!
