By now, I hope you are okay. But you have to control the constipation over the long-term. I too have had life-long constipation (my Mom was already giving me enemas when I was 4 or 5).  I can tell you what works for me:

1. Magnesium supplements: I've been taking 500-1000 mg per day. Not expensive and not harmful.

2. Natural laxative with sennosides 8.6mg:  one or two pills if you're already constipated, but they say not to take them every day.  No prescription needed, not expensive.

3.  Stool softener:  I myself can't take them (they come in gelatin-coated pills that make me allergic), but many people like them.  Again, not expensive, easy to find.

4. Flax seeds, either whole or ground.  Eat them on oatmeal, or anything else you like. They are a mild remedy though, and don't give dramatic results.

5.  Don't eat bread or cheese.  Of course this is really hard to do (no pizza??!!), but know that these foods are the worst for causing constipation.

Hi man, had this problem myself recently and I had an x ray and it showed impaction in my rectum and in my bowel. What helped me most I think was Lactulose (best constipation medicine I've ever used really) and the use of suppositories. I used to use fleet enemas but for some reason they don't seem to work anymore.

I know it sounds horrible but have you performed a digital rectal exam on yourself? If you do that and can feel something very hard (stool) that should be able to be removed by suppository.

I think movicol is like laxido and the same product and they recommend 8 sachets within 6 hours so all at once really for fecal impaction. You could try this, but laxatives like this only affect the upper end of the colon not the lower end/rectum where you seem to be impacted.

Don't worry man, I've had this trouble the last 4 months and simply by the use of 8mg Glycerin suppositories a few days in a row mixed with taking 2 doses of lactulose of 30 ML twice a day I am getting under control with my problem.

So I recommend nipping to shop or pharmacy for some Glycerin suppositories, shove one or two up the you know what and try and keep in for an hour, there should be an urge at some point. Make sure to drink a lot of water because that is how all these medicines work really by drawing in water to the bowels etc.

I did recently got diagnosed with a mega colon after having a colonoscopy done, which I recommend you to have as well if your doctors permits it to see if there is an underlying problem for your current constipation. And I am now just waiting to see a hospital specialist about this problem, hopefully soon.

I hope this helps, don't worry man I have been in the exact same position and was impacted for weeks as I had exams and held off going to the doctors at the same time and had awful doctors misdiagnose me and I'm 19 so similar to yourself.

Don't give up hope man, you'll be fixed. Hope this helps, any further questions just ask me been in the same shoes as you recently x
