I had hip replacement 1 year . I had surgery to repair the fascia that didn’t repair from my hip surgery. It’s been 2 weeks since I had it. I thought I was doing good. Then the pain started again. I’m quite upset. I don’t know what to do. I get my stitches out in 2 days. I wonder if it can be repaired again. I feel the dr should have put a hip brace on me but he didn’t.
He said I could do my usual routine but not to over do. And that it was ok to use my stairs. Has anyone had this problem? Did your surgery not help you and what can be done now?
Desperate for some answers. I’m really afraid.
What do you mean by your "fascia."
Have you ever seen that thin clear layer on chicken meat.? Also it is located within the meat it’s called structural fascia. It all through out our bodies. It covers and protects the muscle and it’s inside our muscles. If it doesn’t heal the muscle won’t heal. It even covers and protects our spin and nerves etc.
I had hip surgery last November. How do you know if the Fascia isn’t healed? What does it feel like? I’m still limping horribly and now my pain is coming back?
I can tell you my symptoms. I had pain in th out side of my hip and down my thigh to my knee. When Dr would press in them areas it hurt. Sometimes when I was walking or I turned I would get a stabbing like pain in my thigh. I couldn’t get but a 100ft and I’d start limping. Sometimes the pain would go into my groin. The more I walked the worse I got
Please do not hesitate to call your surgeon You really shouldn’t be having that pain like that at this stage.
